    What happened, on what thread?
It was on a benefits thread, a young gorl working part time, struggling to make ends meet. Everybody apart from this lady kept saying the same thing, work more hours
With the jobs situation as it is work is hard to come by regardless. She stood up to be counted defending the OP and got slagged off in the process. Hence I asked her to join us 'FRIENDLY PEOPLE'

Is that a longer term loan?
That said you are holding your own and I for one applaud that
At least on here we all understand peoples needs and circumstances.. I was horrified when I read that earlier post which is why I contacted you.
Opinions are one thing.. slagging people off for little reason is another

  • Yeah it is made up of 2 loans. When 1 is paid off it will be £20 per week - just taken that one out over 2 years but hoping to settle before then will be counting every penny from now until september and hopefully my plan will work and leave me with my provy loan and bank loan - doing well so far phoned up to cancel my sky HD (that was due to be installed tomorrow) as I decided the £10 per month for channels I wasn't going to receive was pointless so was then offered sky + box for free, plus free install and extra box plus my £49 that I had paid for HD box refunded! Was well pleased as that is going straight to the CC!

Was looking at Sky HD last night, £49 for existing customers sounds like a good deal even with the charge for HD pack and multiroom for free installation.
Been with Sky 30 months now, never had an offer, newbies got sky+ free, may sign up for hd then cancel, see if I get a sky+ for nothing :j
I've had 2 loans with Provident, first one paid over the year £300, £9 per week then took another same terms but paid back in half the time. Now reports to Experian so good for credit score if nothing else :D

  • Well I was one of the newbies to sign up for the deal but as I am only really after 3 mixes HD really wasn't that important to me - will no doubt get it at some point (maybe when I have paid off a few debts  ) will possibly go for it.

I did have a £500 then took a £300 a few months later but by re-financing and taking a larger sum over a longer period enabled me to pay off £500 loan and in a way I suppose that should be a great big star on credit report? :D or i should at least have one of these?:A :rotfl:

Yep.. you should have sttled account on Experian,, £500 loan will show as £60 odd per month settled which is a huge plus on file particularly with others showing Green zero's. Try credit expert free trial, 30 days just remember to cancel :money:

  • I had a look at my equifax a few months ago and it was fab - enabled me to get that well needed bank loan:D though thinking the credit report has somewhat changed since the ex left me with the debt but I take blame to as I didn't even try and sort it, I just buried my head in the sand as usual and only decided to panic when the DC letter arrived on the door:mad: Never the less I am proud to be dealing with this at last - got to pay £340 tomorrow:( but at least I will get there!
