I think there are a few red herrings on this thread, need to get back to bass point.0

I've taken tins of salmon to my parents (they're ex-pats). They were in my hand luggage which after it's ride through the x-ray machine was thoroughly searched and I was allowed to proceed. I had a flight bag full of bisto, gingernuts and tinned salmon which got a few funny looks but is within regulations.0

I took some tins of Tuna (in brine) in hand luggage to Majorca last summer. It was examined at security and I was allowed to take it through."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0

You batter get your skates on ! I hear the rules are changing.
I think this lot have got you hook, line and sinker.0 -
I think the OP was just angling for the sort of replies you are all carping on about.
Let us know the net result, anyway. This space has been intentionally left blank0 -
Your ok with Tuna as long as you are flying with Fin-ish airways. You will have to pout it on their scales first though and hide any tell-tale signs of the tin being opened. They have a policy of all Tuna sitting at the rear of the plane due to their ugly faces on all flights to sardeenia.0

OK folks, thats enough fish jokes, you will all have poor Phoolgrrrl trawling the Net for the replies she needs......:rolleyes:0

Right....that's alot of puns!
Can't buy food when I get there cuz shops will be closed. Can't make lunch to bring as will be leaving house at 4pm sunday and won't have fridge. Not eating till lunch time next day.
Since no fridge can't bring ham chesse, other sadwhich fillings.
Think I will try and bring tuna, it's in oil for thoses who asked, and see if I get it through. May bring crisps or banana as well as alternative fillings!0 -
Okayyyyy - so if it's for sarnies and the shops will be closed, won't you also need to take bread and butter?
I think you should take a Pot Noodle instead0
