Are items easily returned if it turns out to be the wrong item?
You can just return it to a local Boots, but be warned they probably will have to phone up Head Office because they don't have any way to know what you paid for it (since the costs aren't shown on your delivery note), or you can just send it back to them using the returns note that comes with your parcel. And if you take it back to a very small Boots they probably won't even know what the Internet is, so prepare for some explanation.

Cordless phone was £39.99 now £19.99 less 10%
Just bought 2 and some No 7 suncare bogof and 3 No7 clearance items so got No 7 free gift. Hadn't spent enough for extra 10% discount code so used £5 off £50 spend instead.

Original prices totalled £112.98, spent £45.83 plus free gift and 224 in points

Just got a JVC GR-D240EK camcorder for £171.98 including 3 mini DV tapes, and 828 advantage card points plus the 4.5% (about £7.50) through quidco.

Cheapest I've seen it for elsewhere is £189.99 and 3 tapes are normally £14.99 so I'm a very happy bunny!

Everyone remember to click thanks for the original poster!

    Hi,

Has anyone ordered this item from Boots: Cinergy Plug-In Digital TV Receiver For PC / Laptop

The reason I ask is because...
Is this the Digital Only tuner as suggested by the title or the Hybrid model (i.e. both analogue TV and DVB-T signal) as suggested by the description?

If it's the former then it's not as good as the Freecom USB tuner, but if it's the latter (i.e. capable of receiving both analogue and Freeview TV) then it'll be useful for analogue TV reception in areas without Freeview reception AND is a good price with 20% discount :D (£56 before points)

...dare I risk it? Are items easily returned if it turns out to be the wrong item?

    Decisions, decisions!

There is a review on here

    http://www.computerbuyer.co.uk/

    - it looks a better product to me than the freecom - supports both freeview & analogue

    Thanks for everyone's input.

I've just had a look at the Terratec website and Boots's description fits the Cinergy 'T' USB XS and NOT the 'Hybrid T' USB XS receiver i.e. it is capable of receiving DIGITAL TV ONLY (no analogue support :( ). So, I won't be buying it!

Maybe there are some things they just aren't prepared to let go at these prices?

A bit OT, but does anyone know if there is any other way of charging the Ipod Nano than via USB? Is there a mains adapter for them? I want one, but will not have access to a PC on my travels...

    EDIT: Found charger on eBay
