erm, it's 10% off the order, then an additional 10% off that

    item = £100
    10% off = £90
    10% off that =£81

    therfore it's 19% off

That's not quite true. The PSP is £180, but it gives you £36 (2 x £18) off of the order, so that is in fact 20% and not 19%.

    math is fun :-)

No it's not! I just tried it on an Inverto PVR for £219.99 and at the checkout it knocked off 2 lots of £22... and gave me 879 Advantage Points. So it is at least 20% off!

Rpoints is https://www.rpoints.com which is a site like MSE but if you buy goods through some of the links/posts you get points awarded to you based on the amount you spend. You can redeem the points at a later date. I guess Quidco is similar.

    Can anyone help me?
I am looking at buying my other half an MP3 player and am looking at the Ipod video so she/we can store pictures on it aswell and also play back video's etc instead of the basic music mp3 player.
Now i watched the Gadget show on Monday and they compared the models and said that the Creative Zen Vision M is a good rival to the Ipod Video 30gb.

Which is the best one to go for if indeed i do buy one for her over the next 2 days?
The show said the Vision M had a better more crisp screen but is a bit more expensive(i think after discounts works out about £20?) that the ipod. The M also holds more pictures etc.

Also another question it doesn't mention on any of them that it supports AVI files but the Vision M does say somewhere i read that it converts most formats using some onboard thingy bob.
Now would both of them play my AVI video files and how are they transferred from the HD to the player?

    Thanks
    Darren
  • Those tempted by the DS bear in mind Nintendo has announced the redesigned DS Lite that is out in Japan in March and will be out in Europe sometime after that. http://www.nintendo-europe.com/NOE/en/GB/news/article.do?elementId=6NbdmCRtzfSgNPnp2PG7SbvGlJcoH_Rk

I can't find my advantage card - do we have to have the card to claim the points?

Shame there's no Xbox 360s in stock....OH was muttering about getting one at the weekend. Would have been a nice surprise for him.
