Ooh I wasn't fast enough.
I had a nano in my basket for hubby's birthday but they were out of stock by the time I tried to pay for it.:smileyhea0 -
No one is "abusing Boots", people are just playing the system. You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0

Most of the bargains are sold out now and half of it will end up on ebay by the weekend.
Oh dear.
I hate to comment, especially as it against the positive vibes of the site.
But Tony, while you accuse a poster of being an ebay letch, have you forgotten anything ? Have you forgotten a certain exchange of posts you were involved with last year ?
Last year, I remember a certain MSEer based in the Hampshire area who was getting a vast amount of "Free" items from Tescos via R&R. Up and down the M3. loading their basket with CDs (Mariah Carey, Saturday Night Fever, Razorlight, Basement Jaxx .... ) and DVDs (Ally McBeal, Live Aid ... ), buying four or five copies of the SAME cd in one go, before going for an R&R.
A few MSEers asked what this MSEer was doing with such a vast amount of stuff ? Whatever could they do with eight or nine copies of exactly the same CD.
Funnily enough, at exactly the same time, an ebay seller in the Hampshire area was selling numerous multiple of copies of Saturday Night Fever, Mariah Carey, Razorlight, Ally McBeal etc and many other CDs and DVDs that were being identified on MSE as available through R&R.
When I mentioned it on the board, and gave the username of the Ebay seller, you were not very pleased about it at all.
No, not you were not very pleased about this all.
You were very against me innocently alerting MSEers to the Ebayer in question. Which I found most strange.
For the record, I think that MSEers using the site to obtain stuff for selling on ebay is against the ethos of the site, spoils it for everybody else, damages the credibility of the site, and in some instances seems pretty despicable.
I note your, current, stance on people using MSE to profit on Ebay. I hope it continues, as it is admirable.0 -

I've said it before.
1. It is not Moneymaking if you are taking advantage of these moneysaving offers, to then sell on ebay to pay off your existing debts.
2 & 3 Its the same with everything else in life, if your too slow to take advantage of an offer you miss out.
Remember a lot of users of this website, are not in a great financial state, some of us are using ebay to meet out minimum payments. If we can take advantage of offers instead of going for an IVA or bankruptcy, I'm sure Martin would be happy.0 -
Well, my order went through at 9 minutes after midnight, and I got the 10% 2 day offer and managed to use a 10% code! Boots may not have pulled the promotion at midnight - might be worth trying on Friday if you missed out.0

Perhaps because Boots.com was down for some considerable time today, boots may (unlikely but who knows) extend the offer by a day0

I'm fed up with people saying we are abusing tesco / boots or whoever. I am confident that the management of these online sites are well aware of what codes are out there and have the ability to control them (it's not difficult to enforce a code is usable once e.g. a voucher code for kitkash wrappers..). Using them with a quick google or MSE search seems common sense to me!
Secondly the whole ebay thing that comes up every 5 minutes on this forum. It's just daft when people say this is silly. Surely we have all bought something because it was cheap only to realise we can't afford it or plain just don't need it... we love the bargains!! These people don't destroy the offers, we can all check this site and react quickly when needed. Half the fun of a bargain is getting there before it goes - otherwise, well, it would just be the RRP!
Enjoy the site, quit moaning!! :rotfl:0 -

yes, i think it will.
still managed to order at 4:15am today 3/2, 10% off is still working (+ another 10% using voucher code). it even gave me double points (x8, instead of regular x4). don't know if it's just technical glitch or i'm just missing something here.
