Mine is through Oxford college although I will be starting my OU degree on 14th Feb, first course human genetics and health issues:eek: (why do I do this to myself:D) although it is only a 10 point course so shouldn't be too bad:o

The OU courses are great Bagpuss, just don't do what I did last year and take a 30 and a 60 point at same time - meant I had a TMA due about every 2 weeks:eek:  - having time off now to recover:rotfl:

    Hi all,

Hugs to those that need them.

Never had a chance to post yesterday as I was having dinner with a couple of friends (used a 2 for 1 voucher which took £7.95 off our bill - of course!).

My dfw things for today (on holiday from work):
    • Took the time to scrape the car windows instead of using de-icer (although I don’t really like the residue it leaves anyway)
    • Found 1p
    • Superdrugs – spent £1.60 on 10p items including 4 x Nails Inc base coat, 4 lots of toothbrush heads, 2 fancy hair bobbles and 6 x branded razor blades
    • Boots (purchased in 4 separate branches) – reduced sweetner (paid with points) 12 x bottles of shampoo/conditioner paying between 37p/44p per bottle but got £12 back in points :D
    • Boots – got a few free mini bottle perfume samples
    • Breakfast - several reduced pancakes
    • Lunch – banana (I got free at work – food left over from meeting lunch yesterday) and remainder of the pack of pancakes
    • Left car for DH to drive back home (I took bus with my already purchased 28 day bus pass) so saving petrol without me driving home and then collecting him
    • Used £4+ in money off coupons in Asda :T
    • Washing on at 40 deg, will hanging indoors shortly
    • Got Sun paper using free Sun coupon
    • Collected free bagette from Bagette express (coupon in The Sun) and gave DH for lunch when I met him during his lunch
    • 3 x bottles of free V Water orange & passion fruit flavour (they were giving them out free in town) ;)
    • Gave 1 bottle of above to DH for his lunch
    • Used Job Center/ Inland Revenue office phone to phone Inland Revenue with update on actual figure for DH salary last year ;)
    • Ironed DH’s shirts
    • Swept kitchen floor with brush (saves me doing it tonight or tomorrow am, unless DH makes a mess)
    • Topshop - got myself a nice pair of shoes in the sale for £20 reduced from £95 :j
    • TK Maxx – got a snack ball type thing which opens up into 4 small bowls from the ‘final clearance’ £1 (think it was at least £4.99 originally) and a pair of toddlers 7/5 size girls Hush Puppies shoes for £2
    • Picked up a couple of free magazines which I will read later
    • Ripped out address from junk mail (which I keep to stick onto Ebay items etc I post)
    • Collected claims form at train station so I can claim back money for unused ticket for DH due to cancelled train.
That’s all I can think of.
    Tesco points: 101 (£21.50, £19.50, £7.50, £21 & £5)
    Boots points: £0.28
    Pigsback points: 715 (4 xBoots£10 & 1 xPizzaHut£10, 2 x £10 clothing vouchers)
    Mutual points: 3417 (redeemed 8250)
    Rpoints:redeemed 28925 points)Cashbag:£8.91(£20)

Guaranteed feelgood factor from that one then;) ;)

Best get writing asap:rotfl: or maybe go into full time lodgering - got any more spare rooms?? .... you could always sleep in the vw (Darwin?) and rent out your room:rotfl:

I have another two spare rooms if it all goes a bit belly up - the young girl child and I can banish the boy to the attic and bunk in together done some sums already and might only need one room more to tick my finances over (but not really progress my debts)- didn't think about darwin -he he he well done SM.

Might invest some money into doing up the darwin beast inside (vw camper van) and look serioulsy into renting him out here in the summer time for a week here and there - folks do it in Shetland and seeminigly do quite well.

Thanks you guys havve been my virtual rocks - I only have to do a big scary report, a full finished literature review and something else.

waving guys will read and catch u early

Just spent an hour sewing trousers - had bought a pair in Next last year but every time I wear them I think they're too flared, so gradually stopped wearing them all together. Now smart work jeans (yes I'm allowed as long as they're smart!) have got a hole in so instead of buying new ones I have unstitched the inner leg seams and sewn them back together (by hand!) so that the legs are tighter.

Also, was just telling my mum about my Oasis records selling really well on Ebay and she has reminded me that I have a signed Oasis t-shirt from 1994, signed by all 5 original members! So she has sent me photos via email and I'm putting it on Ebay right now! I'm going to be rich ( I hope....)

  • Hello everyone,
Special hello to andan - hope you are OK and not missing OH too much ( actually you are probably too busy knowing your lists! :rotfl:)

    Belle x
