But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D
Today i will:
- check online banking -
- update spreadsheets
- move money to savings
- storecupbpard meals
- make a loaf in breadmaker
- laundry hokey cokey for OH
- ironing for me
- reduce, reuse,recycle one thing -
- sparkle -star socks today
- find time for swim and jacuzzi to use gym membership

Hi everyone, I've let my MSE'ing die a bit of a death over the past year but, like many, I'm back - been spending like it's going out of fashion. My thing for the day? Just to try and not spend anything too. I know lots of people are doing far more but it's a massive step for me

Morning everyone! Cold and miserable here (again)
Today I have:
checked online banking
sorted out new ING savings account
transferred £8 from Green Metropolis for books sold
porridge for breakfast (v. cheap)
seen to animals - fed scraps to chooks and collected an egg in exchange:D
Later I will:
Go to work, 2 meetings (all day Thurs and Fri) to prep for today.
Take a hm salad for lunch from fridge ingredients - MS AND good for waistline:D
post another book sold on Amazon:j

Today I have/will:- Been to the post office and collected my new phone :j Free delivery, free phone and contract will be £20/month cheaper!:j
- Have been through quidco to sell/recycle old phone...should get £25 for it and £5 from quidco
- About to have breakfast
- Work assessment at 11am
- Then home to do some work
- Storecupboard lunch
- Check online bank accounts
- OH payday today...pay £40 off C/C
- Storecupboard tea...going to make cheese onion and potato bake...stole the receipe from the lovely Piq
- Which reminds me...catch up on diaries
- Have a browse through the forums
- Go swimming tonight if possible...have a ticket so will be free

- Heating not on until later
- Staying in tonight and watch Waterloo Road
- Organise paperwork drawer
