It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

The car desperatley needed a clean both inside and out. I have to admit that it gets done on a VERY infrequent basis :o

Normally I would go to the garage and use their vac and car wash.

Today I decided to do it myself at home.

    It looks great :j

    It cost nothing :j

    I enjoyed doing it
Thank you for this site :jNow OH and I are both retired, MSE is a Godsend

For recipe sharers, I was wondering what to do with the 1 remaining OOD egg in my fridge, and found this on BBC Food:

Carrot cake with a lemon drizzle

Preparation time less than 30 mins
Cooking time 10 to 30 mins
    Serves 1
    t.gif

    Ingredients
    For the carrot cake
55g/2oz unsalted butter, softened, plus extra for greasing
    55g/2oz caster sugar
    55g/2oz self-raising flour
    1 free-range egg, beaten
    1 carrot, peeled and grated
    For the lemon drizzle
    200g/7oz icing sugar, sifted
    1 lemon, juice only

    Method
    1. Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4.
    2. Place the butter and sugar into a food processor and blend until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
    3. Add the flour and egg and blend again until smooth. Stir in the grated carrot and spoon into a 23 x 23cm/9 x 9in square baking tray greased with butter. Bake for 15 minutes or until well-risen, golden-brown on top and a skewer inserted into the middle of the cake comes out clean.
    4. For the lemon drizzle, mix the lemon juice with the sifted icing sugar to a smooth consistency in a bowl.
    5. To serve, cut the cake into squares and pour over the lemon drizzle.

    Hope it helps someone :)

Edit - just realised it says serves 1  -I'm trying it later so will let you know how much it actually makes!
