  • isnt a perservative unatural?

Well yes it is. But the "smells" are not unatural. The only preservatives that are natural are honey and lavender. But those won't last long enough. You need a shampoo to last longer than three weeks and I am sure it wouldn't be nice to keep your shampoo in the fridge to retain freshness. But the smells, which is what we are talking about are the natural factors. But if you look at our preservatives you will see that the mostthey have are just two preservatives. Look at the back of your normal shampoo bottle from boots and try and figure out how many there are and how much is natural.
  • personally im not bothered about preservatives etc. as long as it stops my hair being minging i really dont mind :)

Firstly, all the ingredients are natural. IF you look at the label it tells you the essential oils which are in there. THEN it says Perfume, but it's not a perfume, it's another essential oil, but for obvious reasons (or maybe not for some) they don't put the oil's name because people will then take the ingreds and copy the product and make it themselves. EVERYTHING is natural aside from the safe preservatives. It would be a lie if they called it natural and it wasn't and they were actually putting unatural perfumes in there. Lush could get in huge trouble for saying they were something they weren't. If you don't believe me then read up on some stuff yourself. If you go to their site they will tell you all about it.

I suppose that we often assume that because it's natural that there won't be a reaction to it. As I said in my earlier post, I'm just amazed that I have no other allergies ever to any other product but everything that I've tried from Lush has made my skin red and hot.

  • you can be allergic to natural stuff, like my fella has hayfever from pollen and i cant eat wheat and my mum cant have dairy, theyre all natural arent they?

beebeeuk, do you work there or own it or something, you do seem very defensive about them. If people want to go in and ask for samples anywhere then Ii don't see a problem..the staff can always refuse

You will not make yourself popular if you keep going in and asking for samples, as many people have already pointed out.

Lush are very good at letting you try before you buy but please do not take the !!!!!!.

They know people sell the samples on Ebay, and have every right to refuse samples to EVERYONE.

Its not a God given right, its a bonus. Don't abuse it or us real Lush fans/addicts will lose out because of your greed.

As a newbie to this site it might be good for someone (me :)) to refer you to the little sentance written at the top of the site 'Pls be nice to ALL money savers'

This means - no swearing or being rude, both of which i noticed you did in this post.

Please refrain from doing this again and the boards will be a much nicer place :)

    Thankyou.

I went in yesterday and bought los of stuf and was offered a pot of Avacado face mask as it was going out of date soon. Worth asking if they have any stuff going "off" at a discount!!

[QUOTE=Flossiesdoll........... But if you just walk in and ask for free stuff, you won't get it, and why should you?

How many of you would walk into a supermarket and ask for free stuff?[/QUOTE]

Answer to first ? - Cos if a store has samples that is what they are - samples.
Not for retail. FREE!! I used to do demo's and promos in stores and wholesalers giving tons of samples away. Companies will spend a fortune on giveaway stuff ( yeh, giveaway,FREE) - to PROMOTE THEIR GOODS cos it's tax deductible.

Answer to 2nd ? - ME. Absolutely. I do it all the time. As I expect others do who visit this site. This is the Freebie NO SPEND site. Good luck to you anyway Flossiesdoll

ta freebie_junkie for this Lush post. Going into Chester tmrw so see what I can 'just walk in and ask for'.
:grouphug: A smile, a 'please' and a 'thank you' cost nothing
