theyre putting em on ebay?! haha! thats well funny i got mine for my mum coz in my freebie scout around Leeds id already got my dad a springy and my sis a hard candy lip gloss for free so i wanted to get my mum summin to go with her EA bath salts!

i go round to their house and my mum feeds me and then i give them pressies ive gotten for free!
anyway, i just went in anad asked if i could sample some stuff before i bought it. i told teh SA about my ezema and asked what was suitable, but you could say whatever skin you have, dry, normal, combination, oily etc. and it was so nice coz she selected me all these little soaps and weighed them and wrapped them up and popped them in a bag and she said "youve got a proper little goodie bag there" and i had to agree with her!
basically i come up with ideas coz i cant afford everything i want so i work out (olegal) ways to get them!

The people selling samples on ebay are usually lush fans with huge stashes that wanna spread the love or cut down their stash a bit. I doubt they sell things gave to them by kind SAs.
The management and lush SAs have posted on the lush forum many a time putting people straight on this issue so a word of warning - do not all of you flock to lush and EXPECT samples. They are given out at the discretion of the assistants and managers to people that are buying other stuff and genuinely want to try something before they fork out for a whole bit. It depends on what is available they do not just give out £1 samples to everyone!!0 -
As studentindebt says, don't always expect free samples when you ask for them. I've been shopping at Lush for a long time now and only yesterday did was I offered a sample of a product that I mentioned. They have a generous nature as a company but they do have to pay the bills the same as the rest of us!0

i wouldn't go marching in expecting free stuff for the sake of it.
the great thing about when they give you stuff is that it is a generous suprise.
items like cleansers that you need to try before buying are the sort of things you can ask for a sample of, asking for samples of soaps is going to make you look cheeky.0 -
I have occasionally asked for a sample of soap, cos sometimes the smell can be a bit too strong but you don't know until after you've used it properly.
I think it's great that they do that but if people abuse it then Lush will stop doing it.Noli nothis permittere te terere

I've had a couple of samples from lush - there was a little basket of samples behind the counter which were leftovers from the big blocks of soap and she popped one in my bag, they were all in bags with labels so must of made them up whilst they were quiet.
I agree, never expect samples like this - they're always a bonus when you do get them then
- but if never hurts to ask

You will not make yourself popular if you keep going in and asking for samples, as many people have already pointed out.
Lush are very good at letting you try before you buy but please do not take the !!!!!!.
They know people sell the samples on Ebay, and have every right to refuse samples to EVERYONE.
Its not a God given right, its a bonus. Don't abuse it or us real Lush fans/addicts will lose out because of your greed.0 -
I can't go in places like this - it gives me a really bad headache
