  • I think the Lush policy is fairly clear. If you go in, talk to the staff about your skin, explain what your problems are, and make it clear you'd like to buy their products, then they'll always let you have samples to try before you buy, if they have time to get them for you - not a chance on the Saturday before Christmas. But if you just walk in and ask for free stuff, you won't get it, and why should you?

How many of you would walk into a supermarket and ask for free stuff?
  • depends on the supermarket.............hehe! :)

you can always get a taste of free cheese in supermarkets before you buy!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl:
maybe that should be a freebie itself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl:
  • Or you could walk into Tescos - find a misprice - get it on refund and replace and YES it would effectively be free !!

ps I'm off to Lush on Monday to pick up some things and also ask for some samples, why not, if Avon can send them out and MFI can give me 5% off if I haggle with them then I am sure Lush won't mind either. It's always good to ask the question, the worst is a NO the best some nice little freebies.

  • yeah im not put off by a no, i just smile and thank them anyway and leave. my pride is totally intact, doesnt bother me. like i said before, i dont have all teh money for teh stuff i like or want to sometimes need so i figure out perfectly legal ways to obtain them!

It's weird, I'm not allergic to anything really but everything that I've tried so far from Lush makes my skin very sore and red. I've asked for samples in Brighton and was told quite snootily that I couldn't have any. I was quite surprised as it seems like the kind of place that would do it.

Angel, i have tried a few things from Lush and have had itchy sore skin. it states they use natural ingredients in their products and after looking in detail some are but the main ingredients are not for instance they use artifical perfume. you can tell stright away when you walk past the shop( i start to sneeze )it is'nt natural. have tried their block deodorant too, had really sore chapped skin. sorry if this is off topic. :D
  • You're not getting it. Some supermarkets will be happy to give you samples to taste if you're going to buy things. But if you walk in and say "I'd like a sample of that and that and that and that and that and that please" you won't get anywhere. If you're genuinely interested in trying things before you buy, fair enough, but if you just want free stuff to avoid paying for it, it's not going to happen.
