  • Morning !!!

Got home last night to find half of the street hiding behind cars ready to pelt me with snowballs... I think I gave as good as I got...

    :D

After getting soaked, I found that my lovely wife had made chilli nachos from Sundays left over chilli - ummm. Nice and warming.

    ;)

    Todays Food...
    Breakfast:
I have porridge for brekki - Just off now to bosh it in the microwave.
    40g porridge oats
    250ml milk
    2:30 mins in microwave
    Sprinkling of brown sugar
    Dinner:
Sweet Potato & Chilli Soup (from the freezer)
2 cheese sandwiches (very very nearly stale bread)
    Orange
    Banana
    Apple
2 pieces of Brownie (wife made them yesterday)
    1ltr Bottle of dilute juice
Managed a NSD yesterday (well, except for the £86.80 for my monthly train pass and £48 petrol for the month).

Today WILL BE another NSD.... Wish me luck :o

It will be an nsd for me, no work today due to snow.

Breakfast was a croissant from the freezer (only a thimble full of milk left)
lunch will be cous cous, salad, ham and satsuma (packed ready to take to work - now back in fridge)
Dinner tonight is bacon pasta using a homepride pasta sauce I found lurking at the back of the cupboard and will serve that with some garlic bread.

Leftover vegetable chilli with rice for me. Cooked a vat of it last night. It did dinner, lunch and 3 portions in the freezer. Very economical!

  • Hi everybody! I've just noticed this thread - can I join you? I used to do the lunch loggers' challenge but that sort of fizzled out so for 2009 I've been keeping my own log of how many No Spend Lunches I achieve in my signature. I'm not doing too badly this way but it would be better if there were people to own up to when I do spend.

So for February- yesterday I brought in pasta made with a mystery sauce found in the freezer from a previous batch-cook - turned out to have red peppers in and can't rmember the last time I used those in a pasta sauce!

Today I wasn't so good and spent £2.25 in the canteen on Jacket potato and a Boost...

Hiya, welcome to the thread! Don't worry about occasional slips, as long as you're trying not to spend too much you'll be doing great :D And £2.25 for jacket pot and a chocolate bar is hardly anything!

Yes, join in. The more the merrier.

£2.25 on a Jacket and Boost is very naughts - Slap your hands and face. If you need choc, get it in packs of 5 from the supermarket.

    Good luck... and welcome.
  • Ovan baked salmon last night with veg - ummm.

Yesteray I had too much, so managed to store some stuff on my desk ready for today. Also, folk in the team have brought in treats for birthdays/holidays etc so i'm snacking then them.

    Today I have...
    Porridge for breakfast

    Tune & Pasta salad

    Fruit (orange and apple)

1 ltr bottle of dilute juice
No soup today, though I better use up some of the salad from the fridge before it goes off.

    Happy Wednesday !!!
