Another £100 = £7800.
Got a shocking and horrid letter from the HMRC today to say that I was not paying my tax bill and that they were thinking of taking action against me. After having a huge panic attack, we spoke to them and some dippy admin person had looked at my tax account and said that I was only putting in £100.....PER WEEK!
Was she blind or what?
The nice lady at the revenue checked the account and apologised profusively.
She said that she was writing in capital letters on the account that i was paying £100 a day and i was to be left alone and she was cancelling the tax demand there and then.
Pretty awful shock, i can tell you.:rolleyes:2013 TARGET £30k

Blimey, lemma - that is not the sort of letter you want to be getting!
Thank goodness they could see that it was an error on their part.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hypno, my stomach was doing somersaults and i felt my head was about to explode such was the feeling of panic i had.
It goes to show though that they do not always get it right and you have to be prepared to challenge them...well, my hubby challenged them actually cos i have given written authority for him to do so. I would probably get too emotional2013 TARGET £30k

I am so bad that I feel panicky when I hear about things like this, even if it doesn't affect me personally. Especially when one is trying so hard to put things right.
Have a lovely weekend, lemma.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0
