Omg omg omg omg omg omg omg. I am so sorry but I need some calm advice. My children started a running club last week. A running club with an excellent reputation. This week was his second week. They start with a ten minute run around housing estates. They wear high visibility vests because it's dark. My son, just turned 8, got lost with another boy. They got back to the headquarters before they realised he was missing. They went to find him. He was missing for around five minutes. They have adult front runners. They have adult back runners. My son was in the middle and took the wrong turning as there were no nearby adult runners. We picked him up at the end of the session and were told nothing. I can't even begin to think what might have happened to him. I'm waiting for a call back explaining things to me. Am I being unreasonable thinking that is a serious, serious problem.

Sorry no flying to report! xx

I got to see baby Tabitha this afternoon.. just as I suspected she is absolutely adorable!!! She is unable to breastfeed as she has a severe tongue-tie.. but that is fixable.. she has also inherited our floppy feet!! they are nowhere near as bad as DD4&5's so I am sure she will be fine by the time she gets running about. My sis is sore but doing a lot better than I did a week after birth... BIL however looks like death on a stick as he was up doing the night-time feeds! lol.. He'll be back at work soon so that won't last.

The hospital think the seizures were related to her traumatic birth and are confident it won't happen again.. thank goodness!!

I got my new phone, hubby got his new dance shoes (geek!!) and my new cooker is coming between 4-7 tomorrow night.. I also bought the new unit for the kitchen and just need the worktop now..

Tomorrow I need to phoen to chase the cheque for the food allowance and I have to post some parcels. I also have to take DD4 for new trainers.. she was sent home today just after I got to my sisters (so I ignored the phone so hubby had to go collect her form school so I could have my cuddles!!) so she will be off tomorrow so I'll pop her for shoes before I pick up the others. I have a few more estimates to get for the insurance claim too.. blinds, decorating, joinery, worksurface & cooker installation.

I need to find a decent ringtone for my new phone... oops.. needs charging... Triker was the first person I rang on it.. and the first person to ring me!! Ok.. I know that is geeky..

I am off for a pee.. and then to the pub with my mother.. and I have school clothes to find.. and..

Agree totally that its a serious problem. Would also want to know what they are going to do to ensure it never happens again

Thanks Vivw - unless they can assure us changes will be made they're not going back. I'm gutted for my dd as she's fitted in so well and loves it with a passion but if she's not safe she can't go. Thanks again - just needed to know I wasn't over reacting xx

You are definitely not over reacting. They have a duty of care

Just catching up - no flying as work followed immediately by parents' pm for DS1 and DD. They are neither of them working as hard as they should be. Told them so.:D

pigpen - very happy to hear about Tabitha! Gentle hugs for your sister - La Leche and NCT very helpful, and have a breastfeeding helpline (she may be expressing, I don't know) - although IIRC, you're a trained breastfeeding counsellor, aren't you? Oh, that may sound like pressurising, but I didn't mean it that way.

Hugs for Triker - there must be something you can do about that, it's outrageous!

    :bdaycake:Happy birthday:bdaycake: to valli's DD!

mudbath - no, you're not overreacting.

DD had a fabulous time at the concert last night - she rang me during my favourite Neo song so I could hear it! She is however, desperately tired today! Both DS's are out Saturday, they are going up to London, so DD and I are going to have a lovely girly day together - lunch out I think!

Now what can I include in the relevant flying bit??? Oh - bag of magazines on frreecycle will be collected tomorrow morning! And I washed up.
It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be

Mudbath - you are not being unreasonable - they knew he was new & was an unknown quantity to them & wouldnt know their route so an adult should have had him in sight all the time. Personally I wouldnt send him again & that is from a mother who will quite happily send her son +his friend (both 10)off into a forest alone in the pitch black on a night orienteering event & has been sending her son off on his own course doing daytime orienteering events since he was 7( they do carry a whistle in case they get very lost!).
