I've have had a sort of light-bulb moment and realised that I think a lot about what I am going to do rather than actually doing it... Have decided that I will not be sitting on my backside any more unless I am having a break (lunch or a quick cuppa) have finished what I am supposed to be doing or have truly worn myself out!!! ;) (not that I want to die from exhaustion, but you know what I mean...)

I have done that form in about 2 mins, just got DS to do the notes for his Macbeth essay in no time, and it just struck me (as I was actually telling DS - you know, don't do as I do, do as i say kinda thing...:o ) that if you actually DO it, it's done and dusted, not scarey any more, just finished... only took me 45 years to work that one out!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Morning flower!

I've just read this post, and laughed a lot - because it sounds so much like me! I'm always telling the kids in class that they'd have already finished a bit of work if they'd got on with it rather than moaning about it for twenty minutes first. How on earth I can say that to them without going bright red!

I time certain tasks that I've been putting off, because it somehow makes it easier to get going on it if I know that it only takes four minutes to do.

Must go read some more of the thread...

Love, Serena x (currently putting off writing three letters to friends in France...)

    Morning everyone

Still praying for Tristan and SS (I think?) friend's little boy and Tabitha. His name is on the prayer tree, and Tristan's will be there on my next visit.

Valli - 2 things: 1) Thank you for the trip down memory lane. I was showing my age there, but it seems I'm not the only one!:D The sad thing is I can even whistle the tune! 2) I think your prayer is just lovely, very simple and suitable for children, but thought provoking too. You managed just fine, no need to ask me or anyone else.

I'm pleased to say all dailies done. DD loaded the washing machine before leaving for work, so I'm going to put that in the tumble dryer shortly. I've also cleaned all the worktops and lower door fronts, so only need to do the high ones after work, and get the floor washed. I'm not posting a list at the moment, just plodding through. Oh and I scrubbed the bath after I got out of it last night!

Ebbw Vale today for me, then college tonight, but may get a quick catch up before bed. Hugs all round and have a good day!

    Pink!

PS - Mudbath - well done to your daughter. Typical that they don't tell though, isn't it?

    Update before bed:

    Today:
    Walk dogs - done
Two loads of washing on the line - in, folded and put away or put in ironing pile
Dinner decided on - and eaten
    Work 9 - 3 - done
Spend more time with DS3 and his job applications **sigh** - CV finished and first application ready to go
Might do a 60 fling when I get home :)DONE
    Start packing my bags . . . .

Other stuff yet to be decided - wrote list of things to remember to put in suitcase; created a folder for garden 'stuff' - have copied pages from gardening magazines - mainly things to do in the garden at certain times of the year.

    Wednesday:
Up early to take sister to the airport. I have to pick her up at 6.30am
Get a load of washing through WM and hang on line
    Work 8 - 1
Quick trip to town - return shirt, buy magazine to read on plane
Ironing - or I'll have nothing to pack!
    Dinner

Some sort of housework flying . . .

    Night night. :)

  • Greenbee - Thanks, I thought that was it, but needed to check just in case...:D You're doing great with your yoga/Pilate's - having done Pilate's before I know how tiring that is (and hard work - all that stretching...) but once you've been a few times you'll be supple as anything... put us all to shame...
Oh and are you sure you didn't have a drink last night? (about 11.18??) But you're right about the support on here - I know it is a shame it makes the thread so long, but it really does help you get through it knowing someone is with you... hope you didn't get too emotional...;)

I absolutely am!! Even if just to give my sis a HUUUUUUUUUGE hug!

Enjoy your day Pigpen, give her a hug from all of us too... she deserves it...:A Oh, and congrats on the cheque - have you booked the cooker yet?

Valli - DODG - Mental! sad thing is I remember it (vaguely)... Bit late, but good luck at the assembly and the prayer is lovely...

SarahS - sounds like you had fun in Ikea - weren't you on a budget? didn't you mention that? :rotfl: :rotfl: And well done on holding your tongue... :o
Sorry to be so sad. I hope everyone has a good day today and that despite it being a cliche, that you remember to tell those you love, how much you love them.. just in case.

Diva, thoughts and prayers with you both and what a lovely thing to say, It's so easy to get blase about life and we often forget to do it - thank you for reminding me... :A

Summermoon, can't DP look after DS???
