Tag gook luck for the job interview.

I've cleaned the kick boards in the kitchen

fed cats as they are starrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrving!

Those on page 13 I skipped it, as it was so wide, and got fed up with scrolling to find the thanks button.

Beaver dropped off. Did my good deed. My friends child was sitting on the bench at the top of my road in the cold in shorts. He'd had bit of a bad time so had gone to get some air. I scooped him up and took him with me to beavers and then dropped him home - his mum had phoned me during that time as she'd seem me stop my car. I couldn't leave him there as I'd have never forgiven myself if something had happened to him. I hope friend sees it that way, she is going to phone later.

    Happy Anniversary Rach!
    Welcome new people
Piggers - good news about Tabitha - keeping my fingers crossed still

Flyflo- the Police could ticket the car driver for obstruction as he's blocking her IN. Or, get two neighbours with cars to park really, really close front and back to him so he is unable to get out. Or nails under the tires? Oooh I didn't say that! But, I see it's resolved now. Well done your Mum!

Tia - many, many congratulations! Wishing you the bestest, most troublefree pregnancy in the world

Oddjob - hugs (platonic ones of course!

Scared - hugs to you too love. Just take it a day at a time.

TAG - sending a note to lady luck to pay attention your way.

To all of those doing your SA tax returns I send you my sympathies. I have spent the last hour, on and off to various tax departments trying to find out what I owe. I mentioned last night on the old thread that the submission had timed out and it seemed to end up in this peculiar state where one screen said submitted and another said not.

Still no email confirmation or new account figures when I got in from work, so I phoned the helpline number. Took about 15 minutes to get throught there. In the end she said she could see it was in a peculiar state but couldn't do anything about it so gave me the phone number of the online support team.

Took about 5 attempts and another 15 minutes getting through to them. Chap had a look and said yes, it is in a strange state but that it sometimes took a while for things to be processed. I asked how long. He couldn't say! I said that I was worried about being fined for not paying what's owed from last year (if anything) and my first payment on account for 08/09. He suggested that I phone my local tax office and they would be able to work out a figure for me. I did manage to get his name and a call reference number though.

So, another couple of attempts and several minutes wait and get through to the local tax office. (Local? It's in Bristol for heaven's sakes!). Nice chap there checked and agreed it was in a peculiar state but while we were talking, he said oooh, the statement is changing as he was looking at it. So, he was able to give me details of what's owed by 31st Jan.

*top tip* He also said that if you use a debit or credit card, the payment date is given as the moment you make that payment rather than the potential 3 days for a bank transfer./*top tip*

But, I've still had no email ack or anything. But, I do know what to pay on Friday if the system hasn't resolved itself by then.

So that's been my evening. Speaking to lots of people at various tax places!

I am having a restorative G&T and once that's finished I shall do some flying

    :T:TYay, Congratulations Tia:T:T

:T:TGood news on Tabitha as well:T:T

DH had his interview. He thinks it went quite well. We have to wait until Friday to find out if he was successful. So we still need the positive vibes please.

This means so much for us if he gets it. We have literally scrapped through the last 3/4 months by the skin of our teeth. We have managed to keep up to date with all the bills, some how:confused: but the stress and worry of juggling things around has taken it's toll a bit. We could both do with lady luck shinning down for a teeny weeny while.

Haven't flown since I last updated my list at about 2.00pm ish. Might do a bit more later, but maybe not.

I'm pinching yours Tag because I wanted to say what you've said to Pigpen and Tia and hope he gets the job - and out from under your feet..
Flywise - washing up and put ironing away and then more to iron...
    well done you flingers...WTG

  • I know I haven't been a flylady for a few weeks but I know you are all here for me when I get back on track.

But now I need a big favour. My best friend in the world is in hospital right now. His name is Tristan, he is 42 and may not make it due to cancer. He has been fighting it for three years.

I am sorry to be posting a sad post, but I wanted to ask everyone to pray for him or keep him in their thoughts as he is in a really bad way.

I have no right to ask, but I will anyway.

    Thank you all so much
