TBH.. this FC I wouldn't let her look after my fish! She looks a right scrote.. she had gone to the pub when she knew they were coming round and DS1 had to run to the pub to get her!!
Pigpen I just had to reply to this. You mentioned that you felt like reporting her - I really would if I were you, even if it's an anonymous call to Social Services. I'm not one to want to get people into trouble, but from what you say she doesn't sound like the best foster carer and they need to know because what if she gets sent a baby? Or a toddler that she doesn't watch and crawls off somewhere and hurts itself, or dies? I hate seeing news reports of children being hurt due to neglect. This woman may be wonderful, who knows, maybe appearances are deceptive, but I would rather err on the side of caution. If you want to you can PM me the details and I will do the deed! As I say, she might be fine, but reporting your observations won't hurt and could stop a vulnerable child being sent to her if she is not fit to take care of them.
Night all, will reply more when I get home. Am enjoying my weekend away, although we are both ill! But we are enjoying being ill with lots of space to be ill in! Hugs and kisses"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

LadyLiberty I hope that your pain eases soon too. If you need any errands run (eg food shopping or anything else) when you've had your op, I'd be happy to do it for you - I'll be on half term after the 13th for a week.

No, DS1 is here.. well, at the moment he is at the hospital with gf.. but he is staying here. Gf is staying at FC until they sort a house out.. they reckon it'll be about a month from now..
TBH.. this FC I wouldn't let her look after my fish! She looks a right scrote.. she had gone to the pub when she knew they were coming round and DS1 had to run to the pub to get her!!
Pigpen, Report her - your DS & his girlfriend are lucky they have you keeping an eye on them, but the next person she fosters might not be so lucky and it's people like her that get children hurt - she sounds a right cow - I'm all for a drink me, I like the pub, but not when you're setting an example and not when you know someone is expecting something of you...
I'm not a grass and don't particularly ever want to be (know too many, shall we say 'jack the lads' to be IYKWIM) but some people need grassing and quickly before they do some damage... And anyway, if she is OK and not a bad 'un, then she won't have a problem will she?To hear that from my DS, that's an everlasting memory moment ~sniff~ Think I need to go and find a tissue ~sniff~ Oh, and my eyes are only watering because of the dust from earlier.... ..~sniff~
Awwwwwwww... have a tissue Soappie, that dust is a right buggler isn't it...;)
Didn't get to pin anything out after all, have been answering some emails instead after sending my invoice... I'm tired now (hope you are too Greenbee... good luck with the DVD ) so am off to bed... night all...:hello:LBM April 2013 - £29,000.00Vanquis CC's PAID - Debenhams SC PAID - A+L OD PAID - Asda CC £783.75Barclaycard CC £1400.78 - BoS CC PAID - Freemans Cat PAIDF/D Loan & CC £1458.96 - Santander Loan PAID - Mum Loan PAIDRBS OD PAID - F/D OD £1026.52Weekly Grocery Challenge - £95.00 budget / spend £-0 -

EssexH - I had an embarassment of toilet rolls week before last. But of a different kind. I work on a very secure site. I got stopped the other Monday morning at the gate on my way in and had to undergo a routine car check. (Lift bonnet, open boot etc.). I hadn't completely emptied the back of the car from the weekend shopping. There were tins of dog food, tins of cat food and a great big pack of 16 toilet rolls.
Feeling a tad embarassed, I talked my way through it by saying the back of the car is my overflow pantry - oh and that's my stash of emergency roadside toilet rolls !:rotfl:I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Well, you certainly sound back... I know what you mean though, as soon as I leave the house, it's back to normal - stuff everywhere - it does get to you doesn't it... I am going to try to do some stuff before I go out in the mornings now. I think that might work for me as I like mornings, but am too tired when I get home... busy week next week, so we'll see how that works.
Could you maybe put a diary entry in for your ECDL every day or every 3rd day or something? book out a space for it so you are prepared and ready for to start. Or maybe treat yourself to doing an hour of it after you have done 2 HHC's? I don't really know the answer to that one, it's definitly a catch 22 - only you know what you can do I suppose. Hope you manage to sort it out.LBM April 2013 - £29,000.00Vanquis CC's PAID - Debenhams SC PAID - A+L OD PAID - Asda CC £783.75Barclaycard CC £1400.78 - BoS CC PAID - Freemans Cat PAIDF/D Loan & CC £1458.96 - Santander Loan PAID - Mum Loan PAIDRBS OD PAID - F/D OD £1026.52Weekly Grocery Challenge - £95.00 budget / spend £-0 -

Meant to reply to this earlier but it slipped my mind temporarily. If we wanted to go into real twilight zone stuff (remember the pinning the devil etc?) then maybe you should have taken the arrival of some unexplained german homework in a totally unexpected room as a sign that that room was where the ring was instead of spending weeks trying to find it  :rotfl:;)I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
