Ohhh, that was hard – I’m a bit ‘jack of all trades’ me, quite good at a few things but not great at any one thing IYKWIM so really had to think of something that I am GOOD at – Oh, another one that I am BRILLIANT at… Procrastinating…

That's really bad - I thought they were supposed to be a positive influence... makes you wonder about our whole system eh... what kind of checks do they do???
Where are they going to live when the baby's born now? I know you said DS1 has moved out, is he in the foster carers too? I hope everything works out for them both - they're going to find it tough aren't they... fingers crossed for them and you pigpen, I know you are worried... :ALBM April 2013 - £29,000.00Vanquis CC's PAID - Debenhams SC PAID - A+L OD PAID - Asda CC £783.75Barclaycard CC £1400.78 - BoS CC PAID - Freemans Cat PAIDF/D Loan & CC £1458.96 - Santander Loan PAID - Mum Loan PAIDRBS OD PAID - F/D OD £1026.52Weekly Grocery Challenge - £95.00 budget / spend £-0 -
Mudders - DH's toe -ouch! If you can, get him to sleep with it slightly elevated (e.g. on two pillows at the bottom of the bed) so that it's slightly higher than his heart. That'll help with the pumping.. BTW has he has his blood pressure checked recently?
I am utterly and totally exhausted. Chicken stiry fry made and consumed. Was lovely and much needed!
I am now having a cup of tea whilst contemplating the still unmade bed. I cannot get into it until I've made it
Ahhh me - I need to find the strength to make it from somewhere. I refuse to sleep on a bare mattress and uncovered pillows or duvet...I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

No, DS1 is here.. well, at the moment he is at the hospital with gf.. but he is staying here. Gf is staying at FC until they sort a house out.. they reckon it'll be about a month from now..
TBH.. this FC I wouldn't let her look after my fish! She looks a right scrote.. she had gone to the pub when she knew they were coming round and DS1 had to run to the pub to get her!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Awww, I'm a little bit choked. Just went into the kitchen to lob a medicinal slug of brandy in my tea ( I need the energy to make the bed!) to find DS on his hands and knees. He's only picking out all the spacers for me very carefully. I thanked him and he said "well you've done such a good job. I really like it, and you've been working really hard I thought it would be something I could do to help"
To hear that from my DS, that's an everlasting memory moment ~sniff~ Think I need to go and find a tissue ~sniff~ Oh, and my eyes are only watering because of the dust from earlier....

I was so chuffed today - my Mum actually commented on how nice the flat looked. Neither of us are really "houseproud" people IYKWIM - we both like places to be clean enough to be decent but just maintaining that level has always been a problem for me before. Getting that comment from her today was great!
Today OH has put the hoover round, the car has been cleared of rubbish, and the shopping done. We have an embarassment of toilet rolls - the 18 roll packs of Triple velvet were on BOGOF in Makro. There are now 36 toilet rolls in the flat - between two of us that's a pretty long-term supply! :rotfl: I also have a pot of star anise that appears to be a lifetime supply, and 3kg of chickpeas should keep us going for a while too.....at least, if they don't, the toilet roll mountain may be vanishing faster than planned! All the washing up is done, and a load will go through the WM tonight.
