The only thing I have managed to prepare is a list of what funds I have available to spend tomorrow if I decide to take DD on an 80 mile round trip to Lush - I know its mental, but I really am addicted. Also deciding whether to drive then park and ride, or take the train - just how heavy will our bags be ????

Then I promise I will do some flying Sunday although downstairs rooms look ok as I have done them this week

Gotta go now and clear away tea things - groan ........... (I reallycant be *rsed) but can hardly justify a shopping trip if they're still there tomorrow when we come home

    Night night
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

  • Trying desperately still thinking about the house, but I really think I need to come to terms that I can't afford to stay here. It is just such security for my children and I can do my job here but probably won't be able to do my job from another home as I need to have no distraction. My DS and DD are certainly distraction :D

Hi MOJT - I've PM'd you back, sorry, internet went again, did it yesterday too... Give me a call tomorrow if you want a coffee and a chat...
I'm so sorry that you might have to give up your job - you were just set up in your little house at the end there - Don't give up on it yet though, as I said in the PM, speak to them and find out the facts - once you know you can see where you can go - Also, there is a lot happening where housing associations are buying back houses from people who can no longer afford their mortgages rather than repossess - they may do a similar thing for your situation and then you can rent it back? you never know... Speak to Swan Housing who are in our area (not sure who the others are? Mosaic, New Essex and ?)

Hope your visit to your Mums helped, take care honey, speak to you soon x

Just catching up on the thread - back soon... (giving myself 15 mins as per my new resolution... :) )

Soappie - decisive as ever I see! I never fail to be impressed by the way that you decide to do something, and do it! Like everyone else, I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures.

Pigpen - congratulations on the arrival of your new cooker. Are you having a formal opening? I'm sure Triker will come over to help you celebrate!

LG - congratulations on the weight loss. You're an inspiration. I'm heading from a 14 to 16 and need to get myself back down to a 12 (I'm not aiming for a 10, it makes me look like I have a drug problem  ). So I probably shouldn't be eating chocolate right now :o

MoJ2 - hopefully the advice you've had during the day will be helpful, and you know that there is always someone around to listen or help if you need it.

Diva - you and Tristan are in my thoughts and prayers.

L-L - not long to go now, so take it easy for the last couple of weeks. You need to look after yourself so that you can recover quickly.

Triker - so glad you're feeling better. I hope things continue to improve. Don't overdo things, and take it easy until you're 100% recovered.

Toots - how's the ebaying going??? You seem to have got everything else back on track.

MoF77 - good luck with your battle with the school. It sounds as if you're well prepared, but I'm sorry that they're putting you through it. I have to say I'm shocked by their attitude, but sadly it appears to be more common than you would hope.

Valli - glad to see your inner princess is still on form, but you really should be languishing on the sofa being waited on hand and foot at this stage of such a debilitating illness ;) just be grateful you haven't got manflu... one of my colleagues has, and he's been banished to work from home (not because of the germs, because of the suffering  he inflicts on the rest of us :rotfl: )

I finally managed to leave the house at around midday, after the crisis at work turned out to be a false alarm  . I have spent more money than I should have done on a new bed and mattress :o but I managed to get £100 off and free delivery (I didn't haggle, but it turned out the sales guy was interested in Pilates & Yoga, so I talked to him about it and was nice, unlike the person dealing with the other sales guy!). So I get a new bed on March 3rd... if anyone wants my old bed frame and mattress (standard 4'6" double), you're welcome to it (but I'm not posting it :rotfl: ).

I had a lovely afternoon with my friend and her little girl. We went to the zoo and gossiped... and I got to play with her 18 month old which I enjoyed - after all, I don't have to do it every day!

I also spoke to the headhunter - I now have a job description to look through. Not sure its suitable, as although its a consultancy role, they expect you to do your own project management, which I don't like (I'm not organised) ... after all, that's why god invented project managers isn't it?! Still, its probably worth looking into, updating my CV and getting some interview practice. I'm also going to see whether I can pull together an application form for the internal job, as again, the practice (and raised profile) would be useful.

I also managed to track down and old colleague who is now a SAHM, as I discovered I did have her home phone number after all, and we're meeting up in a couple of weeks. I also talked to someone who used to work for a supplier who has agreed to mentor me, which is also good news.

So I suppose I should now think about doing some flying... or maybe I should just go to bed

well yet again i'm completely knackered but you should see my boys room - i'm feeling quite proud of myself:dance: it's safe to enter and everything. the only things left to do are wash the window and change the curtains but he's been showered and is going to bed now so i'll do them tomorrow. dh is nearly as tired as me doing the dailies downstairs by himself but it's so nice to just sit in a clean and tidy house and not worry if someone visits unexpectedly;)

over the last 2 weeks we've filled 6:eek: binliners 2 for rubbish and 4 for charity shop just from his room!

dd is in the bath (she can't stand unsupported in the shower and is far too grown up to allow me in the bathroom with her - my privacy doesn't seem to matter when i'm in there tho)

wm and dw on and when dd finished i'm going to shower ( so i can have longer in bed tomorrow - i'm working and hate not having a lie in on a saturday) and then i'm off to bed.

    hope everyone is well

What a lovely thing to say Triker - I am so glad you are pain free now - just that alone must be wonderful - with all you've had to deal with over the last month, doing it with something worse than toothache must have been awful... As the song goes, the only way is up, baby!!! ;)HScyber.gif

    I have a new cooker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you by any chance excited... :rotfl: So pleased for you Pigpen - can't imagine not having a cooker and not being able to cook (say's she who's just had chinese...:o ) Enjoy! :j :j :j Ohhh, and do we get photos???

Good luck Soappie... I love tiling, I did all the bathroom walls in our old house (wall tiles much easier to cut than floor tiles... ) - bath to ceiling around the bath and floor to about half way up around the rest of the room... Great fun, very messy but very rewarding... :T

so please please please let this be our turn for once!!! we are waiting for this to happen for such a long time!!!!!!

Have everything crossed for you for the second viewing, maybe the people tomorrow will get in a bidding war for it... Ooooh, that would be great... :T ~~~~~sell your home vibes on their way~~~~~ :A

Greenbee - hope you are able to get to sleep tonight - at least you can have a bit of a lie in tomorrow... take care x - oh, and thanks again for the laptop battery info - battery is wrapped and in the freezer from this morning (am working on mains) so I will get it out tomorrow morning - by the way, does it have to defrost or do I just plug in and go straight from freezer (bet Jamie Olivers never cooked a battery!!! :rotfl: )

Flying wise - not able to do what I wanted as unable to log onto remote computer, but managed to upload what I could onto mine and can at least send off to accountants for VAT return now... ;)

Cleaning - my bathroom floor is looking desperate, but will have to wait until tomorrow now as I am getting tired...

Spent more than 15 mins catching up (have been on here for 1/2 hour now...) but not too bad so I am going to let myself off that one...:D

See you all tomorrow (internet working hopefully)... take care x

PS: Diva, you and Tris are still in my thoughts - I hope they are able to make a good decision, whichever way that may be... hugs hun x:A

ETA: That is what I love about here - we value life and loved ones - unlike those little @rses who waved and laughed as they got the most pathetic sentence today - made my blood boil looking at them and I feel so sorry for the parents... HUGE virtual hugs to them too... (sorry, didn't mean to rant, but I just wish bad things would happen to bad people instead of the good ones...)
