Gas man has been
He was delayed but I thought he might, usually if he can't make it he drops in on to let me know or contacts the landlady as he lives local. He's managed to fix my heater which wasn't really broken, just annoying tempremental. He discovered the ignition wire wasn't in alignment properly as it was trapped so he fixed it for me - no more swearing of a night now
He also cleaned the gasfire up properly so that should work fantastically for the next few weeks
Update to my list :- [STRIKE]tidy up each room[/STRIKE] Well at least it was tidy until DD came home
- [STRIKE]remove the heater guard in my room once it's cooled down (the fella knows I do this - it saves him time as they are a real pain in the bottom to get off)[/STRIKE] and replaced it
- [STRIKE]Move the mantelpiece / coffeetable / rug out the way ready for the gasfire check[/STRIKE] And replaced
- Wash dishes Half way through, still more to go
- Hoover through Did the livingroom and that will do for now.
I could juggle some money around, but that will involve me doing some more complicated maths which I'm not attempting until DD has gone to bed
I might be able to bring that date forward by moving overdraft stuff to credit cards (robbing peter to pay paul  ) but if it drops the interest rate then its got to be better than nothing!
Right time to put tea on - bolognese and rice :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Am a pretty fed up LG at the mo - wasted about 3 hours last night trying to get on an OU online forum that apparently my Firewall has chosen to block even tho it's necessary for my course - triple pooh. All the help desk could suggest, i'd already done  - am now waiting on my BIL to come and try to fix it.
Didn't lose any weight this week but, and its a big but (rather than a bigger butt) I've just been out and bought 2 pairs of size 12 jeans, rather than the size 18 ones I was in this time last year - and I can do em up and still breathe
My flying this week has been quite frankly pathetic so must try harder over the weekend - have just been and got the shopping in and immediately got on the phone to Mr A to complain that the ready cooked chicken I had bought (lazy I know) smelled, quite frankly, rank - I'm now waiting for a gift card through the mail, although they did apologise profusely, in a grovelling way - need to go and find something else to do for tea now
Haven't had chance to catch up with the thread - hoping that everyone is fine and peachy and enjoys the weekend
LG xI'd rather be watching CSI!0 -
likklegibbon - that is fantastic news aout the jeans - a whole new you!! Well done!
I went from 16 verging on 18 to 12/14 a couple of years ago, and am teetering on the larger side of 14 at the moment. I think you may just inspire me to really stick to it. (I'm fine during the day, but I nibble when I'm tired late afternoon...)
:bdaycake:Happy birthday W!!:bdaycake:
Great news re cooker pigpen!
Triker - very happy to hear that you're feeling better today. I'd still follow up that clamping charge and damage though. Hugs !!
mojt - hugs for you too. You have lots of friends on here. I have no knowledge or experience of divorce, so can't help you there, but I'll listen anytime you want to pm me.
Hi tootifrooti!! :hello: Still haven't written those letters...:o But I have knitted some more of the jackert that I'm making, and I've cleaned the bathroom! It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
I have had an atrocious week this week. Work has been a nightmare, I've been late home more than on time and the house has barely been touched! However, thanks to the good grounding from the last few weeks it's not too bad. I'm about to go and strip our bed and get the linen through the WM, that can TD overnight tonight on the cheap rate then. OH can hoover at some stage later, and I'll have a quick tidy in here and a swish of the kitchen and bathroom as well I think.....🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
