Welcome Princess Jane! This thread is excellent - it realy makes a difference once you get into the swing of doing things "little and often" - our place has never looked so good!

Lush bags for Kaz - my sister kindly got me and her a £15 one in the week, she says she wouldnt have wanted to walk any distance with two of them. 10 gift boxes and some other bits meant a fair bit of bulk.

Building works today so mostly cleaning up after that - removing and replacing a stud wall with a new one with a full size door between the kitchen and the back hall. Can't tile the floor till the new loo is delivered.

Triker - B n Q have some stupidly cheap bathrooms at the moment? I think we are replacing the lovely collectors item that is our avocado suite with this
http://www.betterbathrooms.com/bathroom-suites/bathroom-suite-deals/1500-traditional-victoriana-bath-suite-deal/ for now. Buy a decent one when we can afford it!

Lots of cleaning today, mostly after DH.

  • Hi everyone

    Diva - will light candle
MoTG - Hope you are OK this morning

Soappie - you put us all in the shade! I felt proud of myself yesterday because AnW's Mums post inspired me to phone the company that laid our Karndean tiles to come and replace one that we accidentally damaged (they did, at no charge and it looks fab). It's been on my to do list for about a year! Still, thats the beauty of flylady I got round to it!

Today I need to do laundry, get DH to start car with flat battery to take electrical rubbish to the tip, get broken chair from garage and fix it and choose paint for dining room.
Also, I will attempt a 60 in 60 (just start gently with one)

Hope you all have a good day

Well, it's been a funny old week really. I've made some pretty big life decisions. Nothing to report on yet... but, work in progress.

On the flying front, I've not done the lists this week, but I have swished around, so although it's not gorgeous, it's not  either! :D

I've built storage cupboards for the bedroom. And have been sorting out what's to go where. I WILL have my landing clear again. *stamps foot* I've been operating on a 'one thing off the landing a day' principle. It's working!!! :j

Off to buy 1/2 a lamb today. There's a farm attached to the prison where OH works. They have really good quality meat. But, they have what they have, IYSWIM. So you kind of have to meal plan i reverse! But I kind of like that randomness.

Talk about POLICE DRAMA!! My next door neighbours called the police, because their next door neighbours house was being burgled. When the police arrive, they discover that the house has been used for a Cannabis Factory!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I cannot believe that was going on next door but one to me, I didn't suspect a thing! No wonder our dog failed as a sniffer dog!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Couple of mentions....

Soappie You are a legend! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :T :T :T :T

Fantastic! I can't wait to see your finished floor. Sometime around 9.30am this morning then? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Toots well done of your rows of kintting. I know it's not your favourite, or most comfortable thing to do. :T

Princess Jane Welcome to the thread. ;)

inamess200 Take your time honey. Babysteps is the way to go. A bit at a time, and it will get easier. Try not to carry your lists over. Everything comes round again next week. And each week that goes by, as you do a bit more, and a bit more, it gets easier and easier to keep on top off! ;)

Trust me, I'm the least 'houseworky' person you could hope to meet. My friends think it's hilarious that I post on here, but they can really see the difference in my home, and how I feel too :T :T :T

Triker I'm so pleased for you. Hopefully things will start to get better for you. Pain is so debilitating.

Piggers Woo Hoo on the cooker. That's great news. But even better news, hearing that Baby Pink is going to be fine. I'm delighted!!! :D

MOJT Huge (((hugs))) to you honey. Not an easy time. Please keep us updated with how you are and what's going on for you as and when you can. I'm thinking of you chick. And when it feels really dark and lonely, remember, for what it's worth, we're all here for you. Here's to it being as painless as possible, and as quick, and tidy as it can be. (((hugs))) again.

What about your laptop? I know not ideal in the bedroom, but you could also set it up to switch itself off into sleep mode after so long...

Thanks... can't believe I didn't think of it myself... it's a good thing you lot are here. It's like having an extra (working) brain available ;) I've been trying to work that out all week!

    Morning all,

I did quite a bit of flying round at the old flat yesterday. I scrubbed the bathroom, cleaned all of the windows, scrubbed all of the door handles that had been removed during the painting, and shone the kitchen sink. I can't believe how much limescale had built up on everything after all of my hard work flying when we used to live there. (OH and my Mum didn't do much to clean up after themselves when they were decorating.) Anyway, most of the flying there has been done, it's just a case of OH removing any remaining bits and pieces of junk that have been left. I had a lovely cup of tea and 2 shortbread biscuits with elderly neighbour after I'd finished whilst OH continued putting the door handles back on, and she was really pleased to see me. She hadn't seen her great neice who lives above her (the pregnant one) for 2 weeks, which is when I last saw her, so she was feeling a bit lonely.

    Well a few mentions:

pigpen I'm really pleased that you've got your oven finally. I'm curious to know what the first thing you're going to cook in it will be.

W I hope you enjoyed your party!

Triker I'm glad that you're no longer in pain, and hope that means that the healing process is well and truly on it's way.

Diva of course I'll light a candle for you and Tristan.

Soappie your dog is really cute - I spotted it in the pics too.

Hex and LG well done on your weight loss. My weigh day isn't til Monday, but I didn't go to the gym yesterday cos I was flying and had hurt my back, so will go today to make up for it. (Better go now I've told the doctor I go 3x a week.)

MoZzy I hope the viewing goes well and that the guy coming for the second time is a good omen. We still haven't had any possible tenant view yet, and the place is meant to have been on the market since the 1st January. Also, I can't take credit for the smiley site - I borrowed it from toots when I saw her lovely smileys to W.

BeccaJ nice to see you back online.

Froddington I'm glad it went well at the fracture clinic and that the bone is growing in the right direction - keeping my fingers crossed for a speedy recovery from the aches and pains.

LadyLiberty I hope that your pain eases soon too. If you need any errands run (eg food shopping or anything else) when you've had your op, I'd be happy to do it for you - I'll be on half term after the 13th for a week.

Inamess - try not to do too much at once - start doing level one in all of the rooms in the first week, and then gradually build up or you'll end up feeling shattered half-way through the week and won't be able to do anything (I know from experience having rejoined a couple of times now). You'll notice a real difference in a few weeks and everything will take less time to do as well.

Better post this now in case I lose it.

    sexymouse xx
