Right like i said already she gets £60.50 income support..the rest is child tax credits...there is no one in the country who gets more than £60.50 in JUST income support.
Anything extra she gets is made up from OTHER benefits such as CHILD TAX CREDITS.

you originally asked if yours or your daughters benefits will be effected-the answer is no as i said previously.you will both continue to get the same ammount of benefits as you do now if she moves back home.
Actually there are some lone parents who are still on the old system and get IS for themselves and their children, they havent been transfered over to the TC system yet.

    Lack of manners?

I was answering her as clearly as possible as she seemed like she was confused about the situation.Which i was in myself when my child was born and i had to go back and live with my parents for a while.

There was no "lack" of manners

It is incorrect to say, "there is no one in the country who get more than £60.50 in JUST income support". Many people do when various premiums are added on.

You really need to look at the way that your posts come across, including the one above. You can be very aggressive with people that are being perfectly polite with you.

    i think i get i now
my daughter should be able to keep her income support for herself and claim child tax credit for her daughter
and this should not have an effect on the working and child tax credits that myself and my husaband recieve
    have i got this right

The premiums form part of Income Support so you are wrong.

Income support used to pay the total amount due for the parent(s) and child(ren)

At some point they changed such that the money for the child(ren) came from Tax Credits instead of IS, whilst the money for the parent(s) still came from IS.

So if your daughter is currently receiving £113ish a week, then she is EITHER on the old style IS (with the child element included) OR she's getting £60.50/wk from IS plus the £52+ from Tax Credits. She CAN'T get money for her daughter from IS and Tax Credits.

But she will continue to received the £113 a week for herself and your grand-daughter, and you and your husband will continue to receive the same as you currently do from Tax Credits.

    thanks for clearing it up
we had a look at her income support award letter she is still on the old payment method and getting the child element of income support
so when the change over happens to her she will recieve child tax credits instead of the child element of income support
thanks for your help everyone we really appreciate it
