i work 30 hours a week and my husband has been on incapacity benefit since 1995 after a accident at work we also recieve both working tax credits and child tax credits as i have another daughter who is 17 and in college
if my daughter cannot still claim income support are there any other benefits she can claim

yes,i lived with my mother after my partner left me just before our baby was born and i had to go home and you can still claim income support if you have to go and live with parents/familyHaving a coke with youis even more fun than going to San Sebastian, Irun, Hendaye, Biarritz, Bayonne
or being sick to my stomach on the Travesera de Gracia in Barcelona0 -
do you know if it will affect the tax credits that we get ?0

The only benefits she's probably in receipt of that she'll lose are HB/LHA and Council Tax. The calculations for IS and CTC will remain exactly the same.
She should be paying you for her keep (and also towards the costs of having your GD in the house as well), as that's what the money is intended for.
When my DD moved back in for a short while (single parent) we took some off her, but not what it would have cost her on her own -- for example we took 20% of the TV Licence as there was her (and her DD), my DH, myself, and her two teenage brothers. We did the same thing with gas, electricity, water etc., but didn't take anything towards the Council Tax as that was something she wouldn't have been expected to pay (and didn't increase with her moving in). I also took a set amount off her each week for providing the food for three meals a day -- but if she wanted "munchies" she was expected to get them for herself rather than raiding my cupboards.
By doing this, when she moved back out a few months later she didn't have as much of a shock at having to start paying the bills again.
(And when she got a council house we 'subsidised' the decorating costs using some of the 'keep' she'd be paying us -- though she's never twigged that's where it came from)

do you know if it will affect the tax credits that myself and my husband get if they both move back in with us0

what you say makes perfect sense to me if we are going to loose some of our tax credits then we are going to have to take something of her as you say when she gets back on her feet she wont feel it as much when she has to start paying the bills again and we only just manage as it is

sorry i forgot to mention that my daughter gets income support ,housing benefit and council tax benefit
its my husband and myself who get the tax credits0 -
She will no longer be able to receive HB or CTB.
Is your daughter in receipt of DLA at middle or higher rate? If so, she may lose some of her IS (but she will not lose her DLA). Do you know how much IS she receives?Gone ... or have I?0 -
she just recieves the basic income support for herself and her daughter she doesnt get dla i think its about 110 a week with the family premium
and her hb and ctb
Do you know if her moving home will affect the tax credits that my husband and myself recieve0 -
I'm pretty sure that tax credits will not be affected, as they are based on your income as a couple. They do not take into account other adults in the household. Your daughter should also be able to claim Child Tax Credits herself.Gone ... or have I?0
