  • If you keep saving the coins,no wonder there is a shortage! Why not do what one poster has done and pay them into a bank when you reach a target - £50 or £100?

    there's defo a shortage, but i've manged to get 2 more overnight!!! we need to call the royal mint in an attempt to get more coins into circulation, whilst we are still saving!!!!

    Cluless to my total, as i can't see the money, unlike the coke bottle theory!!!!

    Aim: To save £1000 by 1st June 2007! Achieved £842!
    New Aim - to save £1k by 1st June 2008 - So far banked £654:p
    Change Challene - Aim £150 from 9th July 2007 - £184.66
    Bronze Olympic Challenge target £1007. Current total £3340.78:T
    Olympic Challenge Part Deux - Aim £3k and saved £1449.43 (£1550.57k to go!!!)

  • :D Just to let you all know i had £76 in my tin when i opened it not bad in a few months and can't say i missed the £2 coins when i put them in ,resisted the urge to open it before hols though! Need to sart again now ,Happy Saving.
