Hi there
I've been meaning to start saving my £2.00 coins since seeing this thread ages ago and was finally motivated to start when I won an 'elephant' bank (think 'piggy bank', but an elephant instead!) in a local raffle.
It's been sitting there for weeks, empty and bereft, so I'm putting it to good use and saving for Christmas and my two kids' birthdays, as my daughter's is end of November and my son's is mid-Jan.
So far, I've saved £10.00 and I'm rather chuffed with myself. Will keep you posted!

Checking in with a new total - £110! We've set a date for the holiday too - a year from now, so we better find a few more coins, and think of other ways to save up the money!
