I've just come back from my holiday and have found that Scotland has plenty of those £2 babies. unfortunately I had to spend some of them that I had gathered while haggis hunting, but still There is another 7 to add to my collection.

One more today! They are definitely getting thin on the ground.
  • I started doing this over 5 years ago when my wife was pregnant with our 1st child as a way to save money for the little one, so we started around about Nov 2000. By the time our daughter was born we had saved £600, by the time she was 6months old we had £1000. The 2nd one came in Feb 2003 and we split the £2 coins between them and by that date we had saved £1800. Now the 3rd kid arrived a year ago exactly and we banked another £200 each which gave us a total of £2400. Another 10-12 coins floating about in the pot at home giving us agrand total in just over 5 years of £2424.
What a pad way to save money............and it saves you carrying around massive, chunky heavy coinage which I absoloutely hate doing !
