Yippee - just got two in my change at the supermarket...so I'm off the mark again and officially have some coins in my £2 coin pot now!

Slightly worrying though as I was so thrilled to see them in the change that I actually said "oooh, thank you soooooo much" to the checkout lady whilst grinning from ear to ear. She clearly thought I was a bit barmy...

    That's 60.00 in just a few weeks!!! :T
  • Thank you Piglet and Greenfingers for your lovely welcome!

Did a quick trip to Iceland today (the supermarket unfortunately, but that's an old joke) and the woman in front got a £2 coin in her change! I'm starting to notice them!

I've been thinking about my saving aim. My first thought was 'the overdraft'. My second thought was 'the credit card debt' (at 0% thankfully). And then I thought how I was already tightening my belt to pay these back and that it would be nice to have a small pot - no matter how small or how slowly it grew - to buy myself something nice.

I can think of two things at the moment. Either some posh Decleor face cream (yeah I lost out on the Red Magazine offer too, for anyone who's following that thread!!), or some plants for the garden. Come the autumn I'll be wanting to do some pots with bulbs in them and cyclamens, pansies, and ivy on top.

    Thanks for the inspiration!
£2 coin savings = zero (I never get any £2 coins 'cos the rest of you are hogging them in your piggy banks!) :rotfl:
