I'm not really doing very well at this £2 thingy. I've been checking out the website for a few months so noticed the £2 coin savers club, but my budgetry restraint means my cash throughput is not very large. Registered on MSE today. I think the bit below the line down here says it all!! That aside, thanks for a great site ya'all!£2 coin savings = zero (I never get any £2 coins 'cos the rest of you are hogging them in your piggy banks!) :rotfl:0

Got two yesterday, ended up using one yesterday the other today, I couldn't break a tenner.
I'd almost decided to join. In principle I don't agree, as it isn't really money saving, but thought what the hell.0 -
Hi Sunshinesadly
Am with you on the "not doing very well with the £2 thingy" - since I joined "officially" I haven't even seen a sniff of a £2 coin (although when following it "unofficially" I saved £60 with no problems!?!?!). My cash throughput is a bit limited at the moment as well though, so I know where you're coming from...at least we're still giving it a go and reading the threads though...!
We're with the rest of the group in spirit - if not in £2 coin reality!!

Started saving my £2 coins a few weeks ago but kept raiding the jar so last week I bought a savings tin from Home and Bargain. It is a largish money box with quite a narrow slit for money which you can only open with a can opener. Once you put the money in the tin you can't shake it out again cos the slit is too narrow and the only way to get the money out is to open it with a can opener and thus ruin the thing!! In the tin so far I have put 12 £2 coins and the tin only cost me £1!! I reckon it will hold about 200 £2 coins so it is my Christmas savings tin!! :jJane
ENDIS. Employed, no disposable income or savings!0 -
Wowee! I now have £60 in those lovely pieces of treasure.
Doesn't look like that much in the jar.

Ok, Im convinced, today I am going to join you all in the £2 savers club. I have one in my bag at the moment and will put it in my PG Tips free caddy I got with the tea bags over the weekend so it can rattle around in there for a while.
So, I am now officially a member as I have a £2 coin ... now will you lot all bank yours so they can go back into circulation as I find I get less and less of these lately, lol.0 -
