I am currently using KODO Hair straightners, which are used in many proffessional hair salons. They reach upto 210 degrees and are fantastic straightners.
I have been told by quite a few friends that ghds are quite unreliable.
Kodo straightners retail in the salons at £100 but you can pick a pair up off ebay for £45 or less.0 -
What are the best???
Disregarding price entirely - which are the very best ones out there and how do you get the best result??? Turn up the heat or down?
Forget Wet 'n Dry type - my freind burnt most of her hair doing this - ick!!!
I've seen some GHD's for £78opn lookfantastic.com and have beenwavering in that direction - but have heard that they may not be the best.
I've saved up nearly 100 £ coins in my Pigsback piggy specifically for these as they are something I've wanted for ages- desparately need actually as my hair is so darn contrary, but don't want to shave it off again - lol
Plese help and don't preach for wasting money as I've saved really hard for these and am currently debt free anywayNoli nothis permittere te terere

I've just bought my GHD's about a week ago and they are fantastic!!! :j
I saved up for them and they are well worth the wait, and the cost! I bought them from https://www.HQhair.com and used a code from https://www.vouchercodes.com (BRINGME) which gave me 10% off so altogether I paid £70 incl postage. This included a 1 year guarentee from GHD.
I am really pleased with them and they are well worth the money. I find when you use them your hair stays straight for a few days. They can also be used to curl and create waves by twisting them down your hair.
I got all these codes and tips from other threads, and I am sure I remember reading that you can use your pigsback points but I've tried to find the post but can't sorry.
Just to mention I would recommend buying heat protection spray when using straightners regularly!0 -

Hi Elise,
If you go for the GHD's, get them from HQhair, but go through pigsback first as you'll get 10% back in piggypoints, and then use the code listed above for another 10% off. I think that seems to bring the price down a fair bit.0 -
I have these and they are fantastic, i have used ghd and these are far better imo, i wouldnt be without them now - plus they are pink which is always a bonus for me lol

Ive got ghds. My hair is naturally frizzy and I have always worn it curly cause trying to blow dry it straight is a nightmare. It just turns into a big ball of frizz. I never imagined that I would ever be able to straighten my hair but the Ghds do a fantastic job and it even looks shiny after! I tend to keep it curly most of the time tho as I cant quite get used to the straight hair yet but will get there someday im sure.
