Yep GHD's are fabulous, I got some from HQHair, with the 10% discount at Xmas. My old straightners straightened my hair, but it started to curl up almost straight away! The GHD's keep my hair straight until I wash it again.

And in damp weather I look like Crystal Tips without straightening!

  • https://www.saloneasy.com was the original site for the GHD straighteners, they are on offer now at £75.00 + £5 p&p.

I ordered them and received them next morning.

    They are superb!

    Hope this helps

Just been looking at other GHD links on this site and found a link from a money saver named Venny stating if you use https://www.hqhair.com and the promotion code BEAUTYBIBLE the straighteners are coming up just over £70.

Wouldn't mind, I have mine but it's still so satisfying to find them cheaper!!
  • These arent GHd I know but I think they are very good: Wet 2 straight half price at Argos and Boots at the moment £40 normally £80. You can also buy them at Amazon for £35. I used these yesterday and went out in extreme winds got home and my hair still looked ok!, this morning my hair is still straight after getting out of bed. I have not used GHD but these do seem to be very good and they def hold the style.

Excuse my ignorance but can anyone tell me what the initials GHD stand for?

if they are for you and you are not bothered about packing etc "hair magazine" (i think) gave tescos own branded ceramic straighteners 9/10, and the only reason they knocked of 1 point was the packing

    and the cost???

£9.99..........gotta be worth a try, my OH swears by them

Yeah i've used these and they are good!

  • stylingshop.com have GHDs from £75 for the original irons. Mini syling iron is £74.

Delivery is free which is always a bonus! :)

Cheapest I could see and just last week bought some for my sister and they were delivered by recorded/special delivery (I can't remember which now!)

I have some Vidal Sasoon ceramic straighteners (with variable heat settings)that were about £40 from argos a couple of years ago and they are great.
I have thick wavy hair and they work on my hair.
My little sister has hair that is much thicker than mine and wavier, she has some posh new fandangled straighteners but always gets me to straighten her hair with mine whenever she visits.

A few months ago my old hairdryer packed in (it was about 16 years old, bless!) and I bought a Vidal Sasoon ionic hairdryer for £20 (they sell it in Argos but it's the same price in Boots and you get points). I thought the ion thing was a bit of a gimmick at first but it really does work! My hair is much flatter and smoother before I have even got my straighteners out. I would definitely recommend an ionic hairdryer to anyone with frizz prone hair.

    Hope this helps some.
