Time to move on.headcrash27 wrote: »I just wondered how those that were persuing this were getting on? I sent B&Q a complaint letter over 3 weeks ago now but i've not had any response. They have received it as it was sent recorded delivery. I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to do now, i contacted Consumer Direct but they weren't overly helpful and were very non comittal when i mentioned taking it to court. Has anyone else heard back yet or had a postive response? Feel free to PM me if you don't want to discuss it on here.0

a number of court cases are now pending.0

Good on you, i would do the same but they did not take any money from me.0

Everyone who is saying i am not out of pocket blah blah blah, I am out of pocket! I purchased a door for £40.00 from Homebase to go on my dishwasher and i cannot get this refunded! I think it is appauling that a large company like B&Q have not even replied to my complaint letter. I think i deserve a reply at the very least!0

If you think you may actually get anything more than a "sorry it sold out" letter/email then you are in cloud coockoo land. I am sure the usual suspects will reply to this post saying "bleh blah bleh" but at the end of the day you aren't going to get jack s*&t out of this so save your time and do something more productive.
Actually i don't think expecting them to refund my £40.00 for the door i have purchased and now have no use for is expecting too much. Even Consumer Direct said that B&Q may will give me this back as a gesture of goodwill. As it stands i have heard nothing from them and this just makes me want to persue the matter even more as a matter of principle.0 -

Matt, I hope you've got yourself a large plate ready with a knife and fork. Prepare to put your words on that plate and then eat them, together with a large helping of humble pie. (I'll even let you wash the plate afterwards in my Zanussi Dishwasher:rotfl:)
Positive things are happening behind the scenes - it's simply the case that the wheels of justice grind slowly.0
