After my session today, I'm just cross with myself that I didn't apply for (a) Carol Voorderman's job, when she left Countdown (b) a job in The Treasury and (c) employment as a Diplomat!!

    No 7 P & P should cost £24.50
    Less 50%, costs £12.25
    Less 10% over 60s costs £11.03
    Less £5 voucher costs £6.03
Less £5 spend over £25 voucher costs £1.03
Less points acquired on £11.03 (44p) costs 57p
Less 250 points previous GWP means ......................... (drum roll) .........

I've been paid £1.93 to take it away!!

    xx

    Sorry to snip
Gosh!! Would you like an apprentice!! I end up getting really confused once I'm in there!! I definitely think I need to come Bootsing with you - would love to see you in action! ha ha!! I can't understand why some of the SA's act how they do - if Boots don't want us to use the vouchers/offers etc then they shouldn't have the AC system!! And they should train their staff properly about it - ie. this is an advantage/rewards system for our customers - it gets them spending in our store as opposed to our competition!!! Its good for business!! Or not & then just don't do it!! Anyway, well done for holding your own and standing your ground!!

Has anyone tried the MF Mineral Foundation??? I've been trying to get my head around a powder going on like a foundation!! i don't wear foundation but like the sound of a powder where you can apply as little or much as you like. I was looking at the MF one as I have a voucher for MF products but wonder if anyone can recommend it. The MF SA in Boots said she would sort the shade out so I can at least make sure I get the correct shade.
i have tried many mineral foundations, and thanx to the peeps on here was put on to the PRESTIGE brand which is far better in mho than max factor, the mf sa tried them on me and even she twice chose the wrong shade, one which i returned, couldnt face taking the other one back..........so i wouldnt recommend as the coverage is quite poor, but mineral foundations are brilliant, its just finding the right one.

Oh my goodness - just popped on for a quick looksie and its taken me ages to catch up on all the posts since yesterday!!!

Firstly, I'd like to say please don't go away Sandra!!! I am really new to this Bootsing lark and I too used to just bin wrinklies and never checked the AC machines!! and I can honestly say that having found this thread SS's posts really inspired me to give it all a go!! Your posts are so informative, funny and entertaining - I often log on just to see if you've had another successful expedition!! PLEASE COME BACK!! we miss you!

With regard to the S&G debate - just wanted to add my tuppenth worth - I have actually never used S&G before but thought I would give it a try after seeing the voucher on here - on my 1st S&G purchase I scoured my local store for S&G products - as the voucher said 'skincare' I headed to the 'skincare' section where there were NO S&G products to be found - I then just mooched around the store and found a section with S&G which included bathing products, shower gel, hand creams etc! I then proceeded to the checkout clutching a shower gel and was told voucher not valid as that was bath range not skincare!! Oh ok no problem! So then the next time I was instore I thought I'd try the voucher with the hand cream & flake away - those aren't bath products I thought & the voucher worked - beeped but when manually put through worked so who am I to argue?

Anyway - sorry to have waffled!! It was only after that that I discovered there is a specific skincare range and now having visited 4 local Boots I have only found that range in 1 store (furthest away!!) - didn't buy any that day as I was buying loads of other stuff and using quite a few vouchers & couldn't be bothered with the whole S&G stress at till!! Also nowhere does it state on the voucher 'Facial Skincare'. Sorry, still waffling - my point actually is that I had never tried the S&G range before and now that I have used the minis I actually love the range and will be buying more so there is always the chance I'll pay full price for full sized products at some point and I'm sure there are plenty of ladies who hadn't used it before who have now and will continue to use it - so the voucher was actually a good marketing tool - kind of the plan I guess!!! And with regards to printing more than one etc - well thats the deal with printable vouchers unless the originating company sets it up so that you can print it only once (others do this I can vouch for that!!) or barcode info. Anyway, just my opinion.

Thanks to everyone for thoughts re: my nana passing away! Its all a bit strange to think she's no longer around. Will kick in properly I guess when my mum arrives (she lives in Spain!) and we have to go and clear my nana's flat! plus the funeral.

Happy Birthday to AgathaMisty for yesterday!!

Off to ring Customer Services now as I'm getting fed up that I never get any of the £5 off P&P from the ACM - annoying considering its the main brand I buy all the time!!!! Have had a couple off lovely ladies on here but would like to get my please Mr Boots. Then may head into town later Bootsing as need to get rid of 3x skincare wrinklies & 1 x haircare wrinklie

That reminds me - I bought the ROC wipes the other day and when I use them they make my face sting & my eyes - has anyone else had this? Not sure I'm going to be able to use them!! Back to Loreal wipes I think?

Also can anyone recommend a good foundation to use that is either on offer or not tooo pricey? Have been using the No7 one but its quite pricey and not loving that much. I look a bit pastie!! ha ha - I guess foundations aren't miracle workers & if I've got that winter pastie look its my skin not the foundation!! ha ha!

Happy valentines for yesterday, hope everyone had a romantic fun day!
  • Hello

I know i'm leaving it to the last minute but does anyone know where the Boots clearance store is in Southampton? Not from round there and the only Boots store I know is the one on the actual high street with the opticians upstairs. I am off today to check out the new Ikea store and can't go all that way without popping into Boots!

... just called CS and they have told me there isn't one... does anyone know better?

I've never heard of one in Southampton - the only one talked about on here is in Becton in Newham. Someone on here who has been there will be able to give you more details on it. I think minimoneyme has been there.
