Hi all,
Just wanted to share a purchase that tickled me today........
I had a £1.50 off mens expert ACM coupon and noticed there were a couple of items in clearance (hence free). I didn't really want anything so I picked up an item which made me laugh, the name just sounds so comical: Mens Expert Razor Bump Splash! :rotfl:
Made me smile, which is a first in a while (been having some troubles at home!) And gave it to my slightly bemused sisters boyfriend!"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being"."Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that"."True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".:rotfl:0 -
cheekyweegit wrote: »Yes that's the one, I couldn't remember the name of it for the life of me. Still a good bargain as a gift for £2.89 then again 5 minis with the voucher is only £1 and the packaging just gets thrown in the bin so not worth the extra £1.89.
Fancy bumpin into you here CWG! shame you didnt get the minis on 342 but still great deal at only 20p!
Thats a great deal on the admit it sets...what do they look like?does anyone have a pic of them? and i will keep an eye out for them in my local boots.
I went bootsing yesterday and got:
1x model me toni and guy sculpting glue (free with wrinklie)
3x S and G hand food minis on 342 (only paid 40p) with 2 vouchers! woop woop.
Received 16 pts too. Total spend 40p!
The SA was lovely, i went to the Benefit counter and the SA said she loved the S and G range but needed to get a manager to put it thro as she couldnt override till. so the manager came all smiles and asked what the amount to be deducted was....SA said £4. No problem at all.
Does anyone know anything about the blue ROC gift bags? What are they? i noticed 4 on a shelf display when in yesterday but not any literature about them. Are they maybe left over from a previous display/offer?
Does the no7 bag scan free with any no 7 product? or do u need to spend over £18? I have been following the previous posts but not sure if you need to buy several no 7 products or none at all? Does anyone know?
There are a few SS tills beside the meal deal counter in my local boots so would the no 7 GWP scan without any problems or would it beep? I have never used SS before in Boots so not sure but i see great potential glitch benefits! How would these tills work with any vouchers? would you have to get a supervisor or SA to take the vouchers or is there a voucher insert point in them once you have used them?
Sorry so many questions = so many bargains!

Well sung Agatha, have a lovely birthday and Valentines day. I hope you get two gifts.

Off topic - Happy Birthday Aggie and Happy Valentines Day everyone.
I bought 2 copies of the Telegraph and have to body lotions for £3.60 to go with shower gels I already have so I'm very happy.
On Topic. Tried to use S&G voucher today lovely electricals SA couldn't see a problem with it and keyed it as brand coupon. I picked up a few more bits and 2 hand creams, SA was surpised I had 2 more coupon and asked how I'd got so many and I explained I'd printed them off, she asked "how did you do that" - I know not everyone has a computer and if you've never used one you have no idea, but it did amuse me. Anyway as I was using a couple more vouchers she thought she should check if whe should be doing them as brand coupons. She telephoned a manager who said S&G had intended them for facial skin care only and that's what boots should be accepting them for. Mr B is a bit stuffed as that's not what it says on voucher. She was told to put them through as a brand coupon for now but the manager had said that they may stop accepting them. We both said it was a bit awkward for Mr B and S&G had put them in a difficult position. Lots of stores don't even sell the facial care. I'd got a few other copies of the voucher but chose not to use them today, I might try them another day who knows. I did see a large clean on me reduced to £2.20 but left it as I really didn't need it.0 -

You need to spend £18 to get the new no 7 gwp, although there are a couple of ways around it, using £5 p&p voucher from ACM, buying half price electrical no 7 , the till recognises the full price as far as gwp concerned, or some stores have half price p&p body serum + use £5 acm p&p voucher and you get serum and gwp for £7.50.
Sorry have no idea about ROC bags, not seen them before.now has her .com delivery but doesnt know where to put it0 -
Erm.. nope don't have hang ups/issues here..thanks I will go with your other options myself! And I don't think people who don't want to cause a fuss or are more apt to try and be as helpful as poss do either...although maybe have issues shopping at Boots sometimes! Just being polite and accommodating as possible. Takes all different characters and personality traits and styles to make the world.
But yes, I do agree with you. Best customer service would mean that I was welcomed, when I produced my vouchers staff considered it a delight, they felt blessed I chose to spend my money in the store etc. But that isn't my experience in general, esp of late and definitely using vouchers. And if I complained every time I felt my shop in Boots was 'painful' I would be complaining constantly...well regularly anyways
They should always treat you like valued customers and when you get a bad experience in store they have left me feeling like very invaluable indeed! You shouldn't feel like you have to apologise ever, sometimes though it is the right thing to do and sometimes it is done because you are being treated like you should apologise and that is concerning...but it also does happen.
Sadly, head office don't always welcome the chance to change the culture of their stores! Simply put I find using the vouchers is often a hassle and the staff don't like me using them more often than not (lots of exceptions of course).
I agree with you as how it should be. I too have worked in customer service, banks, run a customer service based business etc etc and I agree with the theory. Sadly the practice aint always like that as many on the forum have found recently when using vouchers. You laugh because I'm different......I laugh cause I just farted!
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt. (A.C)0 -
success...at last:D I got 3 S&G minis for 40p:T I didn't think I was going to get them at first. The SA tried to scan the vouchers, but the till beeped - of course! then she keyed in the barcode, but a message popped up saying they had expired
Then she called the manager:eek:  At this point I thought about walking away, but to my surprise, he was lovely and overrode the till:) if anyone else is having trouble getting a SA to accept the vouchers, don't give up (like I almost) it's always worth trying another till/store:D
Big thanks to nine tails for the heads up RE: the Rimmel pallet. I got one for DD with an eye liner:T
I was on a high after that (well, small things please me:rotfl: ) and went to collect my free body lotion from the body shop with telegraph voucher. Then I went to superdrug and got my free galaxy chocolate bar with express voucher.0 -
