I don't look on SS as a 'god-like figure'....but I do have huge admiration for somebody that can keep such a fantastic sense of humour in the face of what they have had to endure healthwise.

P.S. Did you not consider it 'taking advantage' when you participated in the online multi GWP glitch before Christmas (as can be seen from some of your earlier posts)?

    [snipped ...]

You forgot the 4 x Mitchum vouchers used in one transaction by VS, squidgemum ;) I don't know, *sigh* people, stones, throwing, and glass houses spring to mind. Pollsdolls noticed the same as I did: the post was aimed solely at SS (and her popularity?) and only VS knows why

Like yourself, I don't want to beatify SS (beautify perhaps ;)) but I do enjoy her posts :)

If I can help re the Hull stores, I'll try my best (aided by a call or two to rubylou88 :D) but unfortunately I can't help re the other towns. I'm sure someone else can though :) hth

  • I'm sitting on the S&G fence (or am I on the "S&G-gate" ?), but I must admit I hate it when people are unnecessarily personal and hurtful on here. I lose all respect for someone's argument when they are nasty about someone. VS's argument was valid until it turned personal.

don't forget to buy the telegraph newspaper today if you want the freebie from the bodyshop:D for chocolate lovers, there is a voucher in the express - redeemable at superdrug.

I'm off to try and use an S&G voucher (fingers crossed). If I can't get one to work today I'm giving up:rolleyes:

Like everyone else here you have an opinion, and we are all entitled to voice them and thats the nice thing about this forum.:T

But I do think its wrong to specifically identify one person in your post when voicing your opinion. In doing that, it makes it a personal matter rather than just your opionion. There are lots of other people doing similar transaction, so it would seem to me to be unnecessary to label Sandra Scarlett in this way.

I am not speaking for Sandra, she is more than able to that herself, just doing the same as you and giving my opinion. BTW as for 'taking advantage 'of Boots, isn't that the name of their card after all?

I'm incredibly thick - I didn't even twig that the OP meant Sandra Scarlett - I thought "SS" meant Self Service (tills) :rotfl: !!

If any Nottingham Bootsers are interested in the half price P&P body serum, there are stacks of them at Riverside, on one of the No7 stands.
  • Re: Grimsby store...I haven't seen that many bargains here thb, they did have a few reduced HE but that seems to have gone now, also they may still have the No7 last chance stand with a few reduced bits of no7 skincare? Sorry I am not being too helpful am I? lol I just haven't paid that much attention lately, as have other things on my mind but nothing stands out as being really bargainous at the mo?

If the ACM is giving out 150 points when you buy any Gilette Series product, I remember a lot of these being reduced recently. If you have a look around the clearance sections, I am sure you will be able to find a few items. If someone in your family actually uses it, it's a bonus as it will be more or less free with the coupon as you get more points in the process.

If you see any Trevor Sorbie/Umberto Gianni/Toni + Guy full sized items on the clearance section for less than £2.00, you can use the 150 points when you buy any of the above from the ACM, and if you have a haircare side of the winkie/whatever, use this, you get the item free, and 150 points on top too. If you don't have a haircare winkie, just buy a £5 mobile phone top up (perfect if you have a child/nephew/niece/grandkid/other family member who uses them cos you might have to buy one anyway), and then go back and use the haircare winkie, 150 points and get the reduced haircare item.

Also, don't forget to take your hubby/boyfriend/son/brothers AC and check the ACM. They are still giving out the £1.50 off Boots Men's Expert range, and some of these are in the clearance section at the moment, so you could technically get 3 items free as the ACM is letting each card print out 3 x vouchers.

Happy Valentines to one and all. Here is a kiss for all the singletons like me :p:p

It's similar up here mrsbb. I think it's just a case of being in the right Boots at the right time iyswim? :) I'd have done a 'reccie' at Grimsby, but at nearly £5.50 for return bridge tolls, it wouldn't have been very MSE ;)
