    Hi Mollieddee

I don't need half (most of) the stuff I buy but I have the same 'have-to-have-it' reaction when I hear about glitches, freebies, etc on here. My ultimate aim (not in life but on this forum) is to find my own Boots glitch to post here!!!

Mind you, friends and family members had great xmas basket/hampers from me in Dec so my excuse this year for buying more bargains is to make xmas hampers for 2009!
  • not much in clearance 2day, not even £5.86/ £6.86 ish, olay face washes either, was only in a small Boots anyway, so all I got was 2 x JF frizz 5ml bottles, the SA said I don't think these will go through, I just said yes there do cos there are not minitures there are handbag sizes + I got 3 the other day :D so I got them.

I had about 8 of these back in the summer with a voucher. They are so handy for handbags but also when you are going away for a weekend or on holiday.

Thanks for that - I thought you couldn't pay for them with points, and thought the egg was a bit pricey at a tenner to pay for with 'real money'.

I'll check next time I'm in Boots then as OH could do with one if it really works well.

Thanks again - wouldn't have bothered trying before!
we get book people at work at they had the ped egg for £4!

:rotfl: Oh my God - thats how I felt about posting on here and a few other threads.

Thought I would be ignored if I posted my ramblings but everyone is cheery and helpful on the whole.

    Hi all,

Got some Eight hour cream from Boots the other day after loads of folks on here said it was great, but tbh its not what I expected.
Is it meant to be orange? I expected it to be white, a traditional cream if you know what I mean but its a funny orange colour, smells odd and is really really greasy, just wondering if mines gone funny or if that is just how it is?

    Thanks everyone.

If I recall correctly 8-hour cream is heavily lanolin based and yup, that's what lanolin looks like.

Edit: Just checked out of curiosity and yup, the two leading ingredients are petroleum jelly and lanolin.
"Petrolatum 56.8%,Lanolin, Mineral Oil, Fragrance, Salicylic Acid, Propylparaben, Castor Oil, Corn Oil, Tocopherol, BHT, Iron Oxides."
    Val.

Nothing to be had in Queensgate Boots, Peterborough this morning.
No HE, as usual. Nothing remotely interesting on any of the clearance stands. No Gillette. No L'Oreal Anti-Fat' sets. Zilch. Waste of time.

Welcome to my world! and to add......................if I do find anything I always always break the SS tills and draw attention to myself!
  • Went to Silverburn Glasgow today.
Really not much to be had, 3 clearance shelves, one full on No7 fake tanning stuff, priced at £6 odds?!
I bought it last week in St Enochs for £3 odds!
    No reduced HE or T&G!
Hardly any reduced SEL either, prob because it is a fairly new shop, so there won't be much left over in their stockroom.

Anyway i bought a couple of things nonetheless
King of Shaves Shaving Gel: £3.91
S&G Endless glove dry hand cream: £4.40
Used £1 off KOS voucher, and S&G voucher.
Total to pay £5.31 and another bloody wrinklie!

As usual S&G never went through the till, manager had to be called to override, this is how the conversation went:

Manager: "Where did you get this voucher from?"
    Me: "Boots Emailed me it"
    Manager: "Oh, right"
Manager: " It's because its not face stuff your buying"
Me: "The voucher doesn't say Facial Skincare, it just says skincare!"
    Manager: "Hmmm"
Me: "I used one the other day too, hold on i stil have my reciept from it in this purse!" ;)
Manager: "I'll put it through for you this time"

    Muhahahahahha!
