  • Hi all

Just a wee quickie - I was in Boots in Edinburgh (leith) last night on way home from work. Picked up 3 x sure aerosol deodrants for men reduced to 49p and a Soltan aftersun £2.30, and also 2 rolls of xmas paper. Xmas paper is apparently no longer in their sale and is back up to £2.94 per roll!!! Needless to say, I put it back on the shelf............

    Hi all,

Got some Eight hour cream from Boots the other day after loads of folks on here said it was great, but tbh its not what I expected.
Is it meant to be orange? I expected it to be white, a traditional cream if you know what I mean but its a funny orange colour, smells odd and is really really greasy, just wondering if mines gone funny or if that is just how it is?

    Thanks everyone.

That sounds about right, it is more like a balm than a cream.

    Hi lisawood78 :hello:

The AE 8 hour cream, is not, as you have noticed a very sweet smelling glamorous looking skincare product.
However, don't be put off by the look and smell of it ( a bit medicated, imho) just yet.
It is also quite greasy, as you say, but you only need a very small amount of it, in order to work its magic.

If you wake up one day with dry/ rough skin, or blemishes, a rash, soreness, etc, then this is the time to
use the 8 hour cream...sparingly though.
I usually find that within 24 hours the problem area is looking and feeling much better.
I do not use this daily, only on days when my skin needs some serious help.
( I was also a bit put off when I first bought some...but it does work)

Save the fancy, nice smelling skin care stuff for good skin days, but use the EA when your skin needs rescueing.
If you try it a few times and it really does not suit..
...then take it back and tell the SA it was not as you expected/ hoped it would be. HTH. :)

Went to Kingston this morning they have SS tills. Must be quite new have not been for about 3 weeks but am sure they were not there on last visit

Just to had to shout out loud to those who care and understand...

    I got 6 bottles/boxes of T&G Model Me shampoo/conditioner for 22p each!!!!

They were reduced to £1.22 and I brought 2 at a time using the £2 off wrinklie (is that the right name?), so they only cost 22p each.

I think there could be something wrong with me. I get so happy and excitable over Boots bargains like this. Is this what happens when you give up work to be a full-time mum?

Hi juju11 No I dont think there is anything wrong with you. As soon as I read about something on this board whether its a glitch, freebie, BOGOF or half price etc I just have to have it regardless of whether I need it or not (what am I saying, of course I NEED it) :rotfl: I work fulltime and am a mum and I do get excitable and happy when I find a bargain. So you are not alone
Your fooling no one bar yourself.
