    Hi Mollieddee

I don't need half (most of) the stuff I buy but I have the same 'have-to-have-it' reaction when I hear about glitches, freebies, etc on here.

You know, once you've been here for a few months this will (mostly) wear off, which is just as well for most of us and our bank accounts! After a while you'll wonder just why you havce drawers of x, y and z which you'll never use and is starting to look a bit dusty round the edges. That's when you'll clear the lot out to a charity or friends and start concentrating on the real money saving, which is only buying the things that you'll use and REALLY save you money, or real treats that will give you pleasure and that you know you'll use. It's the stuff in between that there's not much point in getting.
    Val.

Hey Mimi. You could try some pure aloe vera gel, it's meant to help fade marks. Not sure if they sell it in Boots, but it's about £5 a tube from Holland & Barrett.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks BARBARA, will have a look tomorrow. Hopefully it will work. Decided to get myself a DR NICK LOWE gel spot thing with my winkie.

Managed to get a Tigger Snowsuit for my adorable lil nephew. Woohoo. That's one less drama going on in my life. Dad is doing OK too.

I got one of those Toni + Guy Colour Revolver Shampoo things that were on the clearance section. It was the last one and it was for £1.22. I thought I would use the other part of my winkie and the 150 points with it. Did do it, but the SA somehow scanned the Shampoo thing for £4.88. I only noticed when I got back home. How do I go about getting this rectified? I called CS and they said take it back. If I take it back tomorrow, I know they will look at the receipt and throw a big kerfuffle cos it says £2.00 haircare voucher used and 150 points at the bottom. And this is the store were SA's gawk at me, I can you blame them, I am Mimi! HELP!!

    Hi valk_scot

Hopefully my obsession will wear off soon then! I don't have drawers full but a few boxes full. May have to start eating it soon but it's so pretty to look at mmmmmmmmmmm

Actually some off the toiletries I've bought probably have a use-by-date too... (nips off to check)

Just take it back Mimi... tho u've used the £2 off voucher/ 150pts this should have NO bearing as u have, effectively, been overcharged... yet we know it can b all SA dependent... if they fuss ask 4 ur 150pts + £2 vouchers back...:D u'll still b better off having pd nowt for the shampoo (using £2 voucher) rather then having pd £2.88 with the voucher...

    Hi all

I wonder if anyone could give me a bit of advice?

I bought the new estee lauder perfume a couple of weeks ago to get the new GWP and I am really allergic to it. (can't take it back, didn't buy it in the UK)

Anyway.... due to the allergy, I have a red ring of spots around my neck and on my wrists. It looks awful, a bit like I have been strangled:eek:  .

Does anyone have any ideas what I can use to clear the reaction? I have tried the Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream stuff (is this supposed to smell really medicated or did I get a bad tube?) and it doesn't seem to have made any difference.

    Helllllp xx

I once had a similar reaction to perfume but the dr. diagnosed it as discoid eczema. It was treated with an anti-fungal cream (Canestan, Lamisil, etc) then HC45 on top. Both creams available over the counter (at Boots of course)

Ooooh so excited - had my first 'proper' Bootsing today - its sure takes a lot of brainpower doesn't it!! Not that I had much of that today seeing as I didn't sleep at all last night!! Feeling shattered now especially after my Physio session!! Anyway, on to my Bootsing expedition - lets see if I can remember/work out exactly what occurred - it was all a whirlwind blur of wrinklies, clearance items, points vouchers, No7, Loreal, trevor sombre!!LOL! John Frieda, Model ME!!! separate transactions and the like!

    Transaction 1:
    P&P Serum 200ml (OUCH!!) - used 1/3 off voucher plus £5 P&P & £59.59 plus No7 250 ACM points (online price £96.90)
    Trevor Sorbie Mg 2in1 Shampoo
    Trevor Sorbie Mg Shower Gel
Trevor Sorbie Mg deodorant - 3 for 2 so total £7.81 instead of £10.74
Girard New York Perfume Set - £8.56 instead of £17.13 plus 500 points
Mini Mode pink rabbit baby hat - £2.00 instead of £4.00 - for nappy cake I want to do!! don't ask - have no-one to do one for but have not been able to resist these cute hats plus some other bits from A*d*a
Mini Mode blue teddy baby hat - £2.00 instead of £4.00 again for nappy cake - oh don't say it I knowwwwww!! LOL!!
JML Ped Egg - £9.78 - not reduced or anything but just got it for my hubby cos his feet are not good and he keeps scratching my legs at night with them they are so rough!!! prob TMI so sorry!!
Boots Holiday Glow 250ml - 60p on clearance got 2 - £2.45 on .com so good bargain there!!
    Paracetamol x2 - 38p each
Got 3 No7 GWP - I know someone else got 5 on this the other day but I didn't want to push it as the SA just put everything through in separate transactions and was really good about it - if a little irritated!! Can't blame her LOL! Plus I've already got 2 GWP so 5 is definitely plenty for birthday hampers! All 3 today had the 250 No7 points voucher too - haven't looked yet but I might have different lippies as 1 was number 488 and 2 were numbered 039!! new one on me!!
Total to pay £91.70 (ouch but loads there!! - mainly the 200ml P&P which lasts AGES and I use it every day - still got about a quarter of a bottle maybe more from last time it was on special price and that was more than a year ago!!)

    Transaction 2:
L'Oreal Men Expert Wrinkle Decrease (exfoliator) - 82p with wrinklie - ooh just remembered that she initially said I couldn't have this as the wrinklie wasn't for men - I stood my ground and just said it doesn't actually say on the voucher exludes mens - actually just says on the back 'excludes gift sets' & on the front it says valid for Revitalift or Wrinkle Decreas and non-gender specific!!! SA was happy with that and keyed it in
    Paracetamol x2 - 38p each
T&G Model ME Jamelia Pomade - reduced to £1 so free with hair wrinklie (£5.86 on .com!)
Tried to also put through T&G Model ME Erin Styling Glue @ £1 and use 1 wrinklie for both but SA wasn't having that (I was getting confused by this point!!) Not worried cos both were still free - in different transactions using up 2 wrinklies - confused are you? I was!!!
    Total to pay £1.58

    Transaction 3:
L'Oreal Men Expert Wrinkle Decrease (exfoliator) - 82p with wrinklie
No7 Anti-Ageing Pre-Holiday Serum - clearance £1.95 but free with £5 P&P voucher (can't find it on .com but think it was about £8ish)
T&G Model ME Erin Styling Glue reduced to £1 so free with hair wrinklie
    (£5.86 on .com!)
    Total to pay 82p

    Transaction 4:
John Frieda Collection Brilliant Brunette shine release intense conditioner - clearance £2.50 (full price £5.37) used hair wrinklie so
    Total to pay 50p

Total Spend today = £94.60 (for £176 worth of stuff!!)
Total points received today approx 755
    Total Saving = £81.10
    :j :rotfl: :j :rotfl: :j :rotfl: :j

This was at the Epsom store in Surrey and they did have a lot of clearance No7 sun stuff and still quite a few Model ME Pomade & Glue - no shampoos or conditioners tho try as I might to find them!!

feeling quite chuffed as have got quite a few good bits for me and some good bits to put away for hampers too.

Have also got rid of most wrinklies now although have still got the following to use up:

    £5 skincare wrinklie (x3)
    - will try and use on min spend of things so I dont get given more - they are a bit like rabbits aren't they - keep multiplying when my back is turned for a second!! Will prob try and use each of them on No7 so that I can also use the 3 x 250 No7 points received in GWPs

    £2 haircare wrinklie (x1)

S&G vouchers - will give this another go again - in Epsom they actually had the skincare range so will definitely get some of those but just ran out of steam today plus it prob would've pushed the patience of the SA just that tad bit tooo far me thinks!

I have also got 3 of the Girard 500 points vouchers - if anyone wants any pm me your address and happy to post to you as I definitely won't be using them - maybe one but tbh I shouldn't be spending for a while now!!! LOL!! its addictive though!!

Thanks everyone on here for your great tips - its been an eye opener for sure!! all these vouchers/wrinklies I've previously thrown away!!!

So sorry for the MAHUSIVE post!! But there was lots to tell !!! I'm not exactly known as being a woman of few words tbh!!! LOL!!

Hi. Have you, (or anyone),tried to use the wrinklie with mens products?

I see no reason why it wouldn`t work with this, there are no gender exclusions on the voucher, (unlike the hair care), and it`s from the named range. There are a couple of others, (one Nivea and another L`Oreal), but this the cheapest.

I will try it tommorrow if nobody else has as I use L`Oreal and No7 daily.

Not been to any lately so nothing to report.

As promised I tried the above, (L`Oreal wrinkle decrease renovator), and it beeped!! 2 mangers and a phone call later, he informed that this voucher was for womens products only, but on this occasion he will honour it!! I graciously accepted his kindness and left the store with it for 82p. ;)

I then called Boots CS, (on the landline number from the first post), and a lovely CS person answered the call, logged the issue and put me on hold to go and get a definitive answer........... turns out Boots are aware of the issue and as it`s their fault, the voucher can be used on mens L`Oreal within the wrinkle decrease range.:T I was given a reference number specific to me so should any future problems arise, CS can be called and a slice of humble pie will be transferred down the phone.

If you plan to use the voucher for the mens range, it may be worth making your own call to CS or ask them to call CS when you`re in store.

    Liverpool Whitechapel

Had one anti-fatigue set for £3.**, but SEL was £14.**. I left it as I have had quite a few from this store already, they may have more in the back so go get them. No HE, reduced Gillette or putting sets. I don`t know which Radox are cheap, so can`t comment. (If anyone knows of a link to the reduced Radox, i would be grateful).

    Liverpool Clayton Square

Had some reduced Gillette, no putting sets, HE or Anti-Fatigue sets.

Took my S&G vouchers into Boots, Burton where the SA had never seen them before. She entered the number manually and it showed up as a £20 incentive which caused all sorts of confusion. Eventually, after getting department manager who went off to make a phone call I got £2 off the heel genius, then off a mini body butter and a mini handcream. The incentive transaction was cancelled, I think they were worried the'd have to give me money so were happy enough to take my 20ps for the minis. OH was skulking outside the store, muttering about it never being straightforward when I shop in there.
