I had no probs using the £2 voucher on the mini hand food this morning, just handed her the voucher, it didnt work, she called supervisor over, both read the voucher then did manual £2 adjustment.
But when I tried to do it again this afternoon in different store the supervisor said I couldnt use it as for skincare. If it wasnt for the fact that had very noisy grumpy 2yr old son with me I would have argued that hand cream is skin care (doesnt state 'facial' skincare on new voucher). But cos of my DS I just made a quick escape instead without the hand cream.

I had trouble too using the s&g voucher on a full size bottle of hand food. The till beeped and apparently said I hadn't spent enough but when I pointed out to the sa that there wasn't a specified amount she got another sa over who told me it wouldn't work as I hadn't bought skincare. I asked her when hands stopped having skin  to which she laughed and did a manual £2 adjustment for me. This is my first time using soap and glory stuff and I love it! Can't stop smelling my hands :rotfl:

Ladies & Gents, can I remind everyone to check the expiry dates of reduced ROC products before you buy as many of them are very short dated. Including those in gift sets and particularly if you're putting them away for gifts. I got one that was short dated which is ok as it's for myself but didn't realise that they have expiry dates and would be mighty :o to give something as a gift that was out of date as I imagine any of us would.

Good point - the ROC 12-week challenge set I bought at the weekend has the expiry date printed on the bottom of the packaging - mine is July 09.

I got 4 mens expert items reduced to 98p for free today using the ACM voucher. Worked fine on the shaving oil but beeped on the after shave balm. Had to be overidden by the manager who scrutinised it for any get out clause she could find but told me "it's cos the till knows you've already used one" - "It let me print 3" I replied  - they were put through the till in separate transactions. And I got another 2 vouchers in another store ACM ;)

Also good news for those with little ones - the Huggies Little Walkers are on 2 for £8 (carry pack) so good but if you have a £3 off Bounty voucher (or 2 like I did :D) - still have one left that I need to find a partner for :rotfl: . Paid £2 for 2 packs and earned a wrinklie. Had a l'oreal mens set checked but was still £18.xx, and no putting sets

Afternoon all, had a bit of a rubbish bootsing day. Took my S&G vouchers to the till with some minis and the sa wouldn't let me have them, wouldn't even try to see if they would work. I told her that the only restriction on them was the wipes, but she was adamant. She went to check with a manager who came over, and she said whenever they do a voucher, it never applies to minis. So came home empty handed. Should I give cs a call? this is the 3rd time I have had vouchers refused in this store.

I would not call CS, as the SA was in the right. These vouchers clearly state they are for s&g skincare range, which is a specific range of items, and none of that range are available as minis. You might convince an SA that anything you use on your skin is skincare (even though it's not part of the skincare range) but that's just a matter of an SA willing to bend, not a matter of what the coupon honestly is meant to cover.

As to the vouchers you've had refused in the past, were you legitimately using them as the voucher specified, or had you just heard of other Booters finding SAs willing to take them? Remember some deals you read here are just people finding an SA willing to override the till and give them something that the SA really shouldn't have given. That's worth a try if you're up for risking hassles at the till, but you can't really complain if the SA doesn't give it to you in that case. The safest route if you're getting tired of hassles with SAs is to just use vouchers that other Bootsers say work without a beep, as SAs are much more likely to accept those without question.

Just got back from Boots in Harpenden. Not much there really.

I see others are finding that the Soap & Glory doesn't scan. I've even tried it against the skincare range and it beeps on all the items!

Anyway, I thought I'd try again as the last time I was in a different store and they didn't know what to do about the coupon not scanning so I left it. This time however, the till beeped again but she just took the Soap & Glory Hand cream and voided it off my shopping and just popped it back into my bag. I did say that meant it hadn't scanned and that I should be paying an extra 20p but she said not to worry about it and winked! ;) Bless her. :A

I've been using my haircare voucher to get the frizz-ease serum for free as it £1.95. :T

Fingers crossed for no more snow - I got stranded in the swimming pool carpark today and had to have two men push the car out!:o

Try another store/acm machine tomorrow, and you will get another one. I have used about 8 of these now. Got a whole collection of shaving oils and balms and what not now, not that I will use them!

As for the £2 S+G voucher, not all SA's will let you use it. So just try your luck. If they say no, just say you don't want the mini. It's not the end of the world.

LEEDS ALBION STREET has lots of those 3 x Cadbury Creme Eggs on a shelf near the chocolates. LEEDS CROWN POINT had lots of those Galaxy 125g bar of chocolates. HTH

Had a bit of a pain in the a**e SA today.
I picked up fout Charles Worthington bits. She saw my vouchers and said that I couldnt use them with reduced products. I then said not a prob but could she please try. So she rings in one item for £1.10 and then asks me for the vouhcer! I asked her to scan 2 items and she proceeds to say no you cant use one voucher on 2 items!
By this time the queue is buliding up and Im loosing my patience...anyway she reluctantly tries 2 items with voucher and 20p to pay....gets all flustered and voids the whole sale!

I then asked her to try the S&G on a mini, scanned it but it beeped and then told me that hand cream was not skin care...didnt bother to ask her to override...so just left it...will try again ho hum!

Long and short got 4 x CW for 40p!!
    :A Carpe Diem:A

 WINS = Nothing...I never seem to win anything!:roll eyes:

proud mummy to lil man!! :A
  • Came across reduced SEL's on the whole Burts Bees range - but the shelf was bare:rolleyes: The range hasn't been there that long, I have been admiring it from afar as it was quite pricey, am assuming it must be discontinued in Boots if it was all reduced:confused: Anyway definitely worth a look for the rest of you, you might be luckier than I!

On a more positive note I did aquire the Olay boxed set with the summer moisturizer, eye cream and face wrap for £4 and a bit, by using my voucher :D Haven't seen the ROC sets reduced anywhere yet, but will keep looking !

Does anyone know if the Lacoste pink bag free with perfume purchase has finished now? Have been trying to womble a cosmo voucher for this to get the 750pts and now it looks like I might be too late to get the free gift too.
