Went to Boots today and was greeted by the SA with "Here's our daily visitor" lol!!! She's the one who has flustered me twice at the SS tills making me leave my AC in the machine but she's lovely now!!!

Anyway, managed to get some cheap HE which paid for mine and my other half's meal deal today (to the person who mentioned that they are diabetic and need sugar free drinks I think the majority of Boots own drinks are sugar free...such as cloudy lemonade, ginger beer, flavoured waters etc etc).

BIGGEST BARGAIN - Found reduced Gillette shave gel. Reduced to 39p. Buy 2 and get a free indoor golf putting set so bought some more HE then used the points to pay for the Gillette and the golf thing...if people are looking for these I think it has been mentioned before that they were an old GWP and actually the stcker that is on them now (buy 2 Gillette products get me free) is actually covering an old one which needed an £18 spend. These might go through completely free I'm not sure as I think 78p for 2 shave gels is a really great price anyway and I would have bought these withot the GWP.

ANOTHER BARGAIN - Wilkinson Sword Protector 3D Diamond razor for 77p. 8 refill blades for £1.41. Even my other half commented on what a good deal this was and he never praises me on my Boots obsession.

Tried to get a Model Me Helena Conditioner for £1.22 with the £2 winkie/wrinklie (?) but till beeped and wouldn't allow me to use 150 points voucher either. SA said because I hadn;t spend over £2 (for the winkie/wrinklie to work) and because the 150 points only for normal Tony and Guy. Will try again tomorrow going over the £2 threshold as thinking about it getting 2 of them for 44p is better than getting one for free anyway....well in my head anyway (as would need to spend another £5 to get another winkie/wrinklie to get another free oen so a false economy maybe?)

MIMI - There is a 20% off voucher in the new Baby and You magazine. Let me know if you can't find these anywhere and Ill get you one and send it to you if you PM me your details. Sorry, don't think anyone had mentioned it yet.

Going to go in again tomorrow and really scrutinise the shelves as there seems to be loads moer stuff on offer after having read this thread. Thanks for all your posts (and chat - I love it) peeps.

I was in Fort Kinnaird Boots this afternoon looking at one of the perfume sets..Givenchy Organza, no great reduction as it was £34 (ish) down to £22 same as it's been for weeks, bah

Then I had a lateral thought....£22 in points = 22 bottles of HE, yup? At 44p per bottle that's £9.68. And what exactly had I been buying all that HE for after all? (err yes, because I use HE anyway and it was dirt cheap....) £9.68 for an Organza set with body cream and body lotion plus full sized Eau de Parfum sounded like a much better buy to me, so I got my Organza after all. Joy...

    Well done you!!!!:T

I live in Edin but I am going to shop at Glasgow Fort tom - if they have any HE and perfume sets I am going to do something similar. I have been waiting for them to reduce these sets but this is better as you can still use the shampoo - I feel like giving you a big hug. Do you need vouchers for the HE? TIA.

i'm just back from the fort and there was no reduced HE. There might be some tomorrow as i think they are reducing these daily. The 100pts does go on automatically.
And truth be told I miss you...

  • Grannyfying tomorrow, then Bond Street, Oxford Street, Piccadilly & Covent Garden on Friday. Phew - never thought I'd be so busy in my retirement!

    xx

Sounds like a great bootsing day!

Just a quick word about Piccadily Circus:

Clearance - head downstairs its by the food (tucked into a small corner where the fruit is). Today there was:
    - LOADS of jemma kidd makeup (around £5)
    - old 17 lip gloss GWP (cherrys on the front) £1
    - old 17 silver clutch GWP £1
    - one of 2 bits of reduced no7 (old cheek/lip pencils)
    - tanning items
    - baby stuff

Reduced perfumes upstairs opposite no7 counter - no major bargains tho!

Reduced HE but only down to £1.4x

Few reduced SELs around - saw some gillette mens shaving balm for 38p downstairs

    Reduced straighteners by photo counter.

    HTH!

(Also OFF TOPIC - There seems to be a kind of 'clearance' Accessorize in Trocadero - bits from £1 up)

Hi there, I was in a Bradford boots today, & it had a sign excluding this... to tell you the truth, I think the Bradford boots lot read this forum, cos there are very few glitches ever available. I got in at 9.10 this morning there were only 2 He Shampoos, all other reduced areas were empty. Still I got the new GWP so still a happy bunny. HTH

    hi everyone

iv been lurking on here for a while now reading your posts and great buys!

i couldnt resist the new gwp today i got p&p serum but this was priced up at £17 sumthing on shelf in my local store so i got p&p eye gel (£7ish) to make it over £18 and used blinkie. however when i got home i saw serum was actually £18.50 so i didnt actually need to buy the eye gel:rolleyes: got a couple of reduced he too.
i am addicted to boots now after reading this thread :rotfl:

I would return the eye gel for a refund and explain it was only to take the spend over £18 but it was not required as their SEL was wrong!!

  • ok so i buy a p&p lipcare and something in the no7 range 4 9.50 use a blinkie and the 5 pound off p&p voucher and pay 8 pounds? what is p&p then? sorry im a bit behind with all this
Hi there. The P&P stands for No7's Protect & Perfect range of skincare items.
The ACM is giving out £5 off P&P skincare at the moment.
If you want the new No7 gwp, you could buy some P&P (the 2 items I highlighted are amongst the cheapest)
Then use the ACM £5 off P&P voucher. If you have one, use a blinkie to get another £5 off.
You must pick No7 items that total £18 before any discounts to get the gwp.
So for example, you could pick the P&P lipcare which is £8.60, then to make your total up to £18, you would need to spend
a minimum of £9.40 on any No7 item (of your choice) to get the gwp.
So it would work out as follows: Total £18, minus £5 P&P ACM voucher, minus £5 blinkie,
get gwp and pay the balance of £8. HTH. :)
