How to email / transfer big files (94+Mb)

I've made up some .mpg files, basically it's edited home video set to a song, so each movie is about 2ish minutes each (I've three in total).
The idea was that I could email these to friends and family back home so they could see how we're doing etc. without being bored by hours of video.
BUT the files have come out over 94Mb each (one is 104Mb) and impossible to email as it takes forever, even on broadband, and clogs up my whole machine when I tried. Gutted as it took me all afternoon yesterday to put these together....
Is there anyway of compressing these or doing any sort of "file transfer" to get these back to the UK?
Thanks

bridiej you can compress them with this utility into divx or better XViD

You can set the level of compression by selecting the file size.0 -
or you could just set it up overnight, it will probably be done by the morning...0

Not ideal for our parents receiving the emails, especially the ones on dial up...0

i think you might be able to send a file that size from a gmail account to a gmail account...
don't quote me on that tho.......0 -
If you can - upload the files to a website, and send a link out instead...
FWIW - I get annoyed if people send me 1Mb of files without my prior consent, most mailboxes won't handle anything over around 10Mb anyway...0 -
Burn to a disc and post.0
