I normally inflate my tyres on a weekly basis and have noticed that this rear tyre has been going down 4-5psi a week unlike the others which go down 1-2 psi a week. There is a Kwik Fit just down the road but I have not got £600 for new brakes, shocks, exhaust etc!

even the guys in my local kwik fit arent daft enough to try and pull the wool over my eyes, the van is practically brand new and it has my job plastered all over the side of it.
they would need to be really daft to try it on.

  • On long runs in my 1.8 Focus, I get about 375 miles before the low fuel light comes on (which works out at about 38mpg, I think)

Cheers buddy...what sort of price should i be paying do you reckon?
My van has a slow puncture on the front, I've had prices from £18 to £10, but it depends where the puncture is and how bad it is, if it's in the sidewall, you could be looking at a replacement rather than a repair.
I was given one of those 12volt compressors by a neighbour as a stand in.... now I've become dependent on that, which isn't good for the tyre really!

Spoke to the garage and have arranged to take it to them on Saturday. They said if its on the sidewall the tyre will have to be replaced. He said he will make sure they have my size but I dont want to buy the tyre off them as I want to replace it with another Avon ZZ3. I will just pay them for labour and buy the tyre elsewhere.

    Cheers

    Morning All,

Well just been back from the garage and they found a large nail in the tyre. Luckily it was in the area that can be repaired. They charged £10 for repair and rebalance which wasn't too bad. What I would like to know is what PSI loss should i be expecting if I check my tyres on a two week basis?

    Thanks

I would've thought it would be illegal to advertise what you do on the side of your van........
