With my chilis, they are not from seed and came as small plants, as i said a bargain from my mother I agree with Primrose about chili seeds taking longer to germinate, so don't panic. This time of year seems to be all about patience I agree with Primrose about chili seeds taking longer to germinate, so don't panic. This time of year seems to be all about patience
The leaves on my new cherry tree are starting to open and the buds on my magnolia are getting ready to open. I just can't wait until summer, then i really will get no work done inside, as i will be outside all day pottering around and just enjoying myself
I hope the weather is good with all today Leopardlady Leopardlady

Ooo my cherry tree has flowers appearing before the leaves have all appeared, i am soo excited
And my sweetcorn seeds have sprouted in there loo rolls in the spare room
The weather is looking a bit ropey today, but i could do with some rain, as i don't like to water, and our water butt is empty!

Just a quick note, I am going to sow some spring onions outside, and some coriander and basil inside today, so it is all still going strong here in Swindon, how is everyone else getting on??Leopardlady

 Can I join in?
This is what I have done so far.
Sown my spring onions last week in pots outside.
Carrots, beetroot and turnip are sown into the raised bed.
Garlic transplanted from pots to raised bed and are thriving.
Finishing off the cabbages in the brassica bed then will start my planting in that one.
Planted mange tout, pea and broad bean seedlings (raised in the house) into troughs last week.
Tomatoes (gardener's delight, garden perle and hundreds and thousand) seedlings doing well on kitchen window sills.
 Ditto chillis and peppers.
Cucumber and courguette seedlings poking through indoors.
Cabbage, leek and cauliflower seedlings moved from house to greenhouse.
 Sweetcorn seeds yet to germinate.
First earlies and maincrop spuds are chitted and ready to plant in sacks when OH clears the side path of cut down trees.
Cos lettuce seeds planted in cardboard pots.
4 tubs of cut and come again leaf salad on the go outside.
Rocket, radish and spinach seedlings underway.
Strawberry plants and last years runners are out of the greenhouse and in their strawberry tower. Will buy a few more plants next week.
Coriander, dill, parsley, marjoram, basil and thyme sown in the greenhouse.
 Flower wise;
 Petunia seedlings underway
Yellow stickered fuchia and geranium plug plants thriving in the greenhouse
Snowdrops and hostas divided and replanted.
Sunflowers beginning to pop up and sweet peas nearly ready to go outside.
One more bed to dig over again once the bubble wrap comes off. I added chicken manure to the soil a month ago so it should be ready for my brassicas to go in in mid April. I'll be away for 2 weeks in April so I am trying to get ahead of the game.;)0

Welcome Haribojunkie, good to have you aboard.
I haven't got round to sowing my spring onions yet, and now it is raining i think i will have to wait until tomorrow.
My hubby built our third and final raised bed yesterday, so it is all ready for my sweetcorn and squashes, when can i plant my sweetcorn out? It is getting really big in its loo roll!
I have repotted all my strawberry plants, 19 so far and a pot of alpine ones too I hope they are all ok, i felt bad seperating some of them, lets hope they all survive I hope they are all ok, i felt bad seperating some of them, lets hope they all survive
My cherry tree is looking very exciting, it has lots of buds on it, a few leaves and now lots of white buds, that look like they are about to appear as flowers
I am hoping to be able to go and get some pesticide for my lemon tree as i have a bad case of soft scale on it, and it is making it look very ill. I swear i am not going to let this tree die! It was a birthday present from my little brother.
Right well i would like to go and relax now, but OH is down stairs building a cd rack for the wall in an attempt to tidy the downstairs! Oh well, hope the weather is ok with everyone Leopardlady Leopardlady

            Hello everyone,
Well we had a very busy weekend Saturday was devoted to the front Garden clearing all the weeds and re-planning as i have Numerous annuals and prennuals flowers arriving any day up to this Friday for this side. and Suday was devoted to he back Garden. All the weeding was done OH cleared a very untidy area of the Garden and sorted out a raised bed area for me.
Gravel that has been bagged up in the back Garden for 16 months was put down. all the heavy digging work was done by Oh and i have to say that was very hard work as most of this area had to be throughly de-weeded, and from reading on here i am leaving for 2 weeks to see what comes up so we can de-weed again before planting. We then put some wire fencing up so that our beloved terrier could not undue all the hard work. Personaly i couldn't have had a better Mothers Day it was Fabulous.
The start of this week has been busy with doctors and hospital appt so apart from checking on the mini greenhouse i have not been able to do much.
Oh for the chilli growers 4 weeks ago i planted seeds and Nothing so today decided to check as i thought they may have failed. after going through the compost i found way down ( not were i planted them) 6 sprouting seeds. so very carefully i have re-planted them.
Sorry this reads like a essay but i have been so inspired by you all.
 Happy Growing
ps The weather here is very very Windy with lots of rain.£2 Pig has £86 in his Tummy. I am seriuosly Become a O/S Saver0
