I am after a TomTom XL Europe, just did an online search to compare prices and GCs PCs comes in at a very competitive £109.99.....

Not that I will be going down that route, obviously.... Just brought all the memories of this marvellous thread flooding back.....

My local Autoparts shop are doing Garmin nuvi 200's for only £60. The offer is not on their website:

    www.wilcodirect.co.uk

but is definitely in at least one of their shops.

not really sure those amazing prices actually mean anything, from what I've read here & elsewhere they're more of a guide...

what you actually pay is a mystery, although I'm guessing from previous customers by the time all those "extra" charges have been added it will be a LOT more, it's kind of a bonus, a special surprise on your CC statement that goes with the whole shopping experience.

great delivery too! Express delivery is the same as second class, which is faster than first class....

I cannot understand where these 1st/2nd class 'express' mail times have come from. With my company, we occasionally send products out by mail order, and a STANDARD guaranteed next day delivery with most of the mail/courier companies is around £5+vat per consignment. they do not offer any 2nd class delivery service, but their 'Express' service guarantees a pre 12pm delivery for an extra quid or so...

Surely [Name removed by Forum Team] is not chucking a £300 mobile phone in a brown envelope and clagging a couple of 2nd class stamps on it??? If he is, there is probably a clause in the T&Cs coveringing him for damage in post, inadequate wrapping etc etc

This is how [Name removed by Forum Team] and son run their con: none of the phones they advertise for sale they actually have; when an order comes in they look for the item on ebay; if someone is selling one on ebay they bid for it.

If their bid is unsuccessful or there is no such auction on ebay, or in most cases, they find it more attractive to just keep your money, you will never see your "product".

In the unlikely event that you do get a phone, the seal is broken, because it is second hand. The thief tries to cover himself in point 4.3 of his "terms & conditions" where the little pig writes: "All goods are inspected and checked before delivery for faults, damages, and to confirm the correct item. This means the seal may be broken and you may receive goods that have been checked"

    Quod erat demonstrandum.
