Should we nominate this thread for a British Comedy Award ? Who knows, the boy wonder himself might be persuaded to go up on stage to accept the prize. That's if he's not too busy overseeing his global corporation, prosecuting the Daily Mirror, ridding the country of Nigerian scammers and having to travel over 3 hours a day to and from school. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Was it [Name removed by Forum Team] or Kenneth Williams that said "Infamy, Infamy, they all have it in for me"0 -

Whoopeee.
Good Gawd. We're neighbours. You're not the chap who's just knocked half a £mill off the asking price?? (There's an investment opportunity for [Name removed by Forum Team] , by the way: beats the heck out of owning a Ferrari -- and besides, sensible folks don't own 'em anyway: we rent 'em as and when from a motors 'club' and bill the whole thing, including our five grand per annum membership, as a business expense. Stick wiv us, [Name removed by Forum Team] : you'll be all right, my son.)
Anyway. Serious points:
1) Local newspapers report local news. A Benfleet schoolboy turning into a teenage tycoon was the story the Southend Standard chose to publish, and the story that launched this entire saga. Whilst it might've been more adventurous for the Southend paper to front-page the recent record cod landing by 16-year-old Hamish McKipper of Stromness, the Standard really isn't interested in stuff outside its circulation area and so it ignores The Orkneys entirely. Just as it does any other area that's many an hour from where it sells its product.
2) Daily Mirror. Yup, it's a rag. But it has so much money, there are night lawyers (barristers) charging one hundred and fifty quid an hour, sitting by the back bench drinking coffee every evening, night in, night out. Publicly misrepresent any action relating to the Mirror and the consequences will be even worse, in many ways, than messing with Essex Trading Standards, Essex Police, Companies House, and HM Revenue & Customs.
As a side note: I regret the way this young man's family background has finished up in the public eye, but then, [Name removed by Forum Team] chose to make it thus, back when the Standard published that first story.
I wouldn't have had the happiest of childhoods if one of my parents had quit the nest, either.
But nothing in that background, nor anything that has occurred since, justifies [Name removed by Forum Team] 's conduct nor the way his company has operated.
Others have said this on here (and on DS) before me, but perhaps it's worth saying again:
Very few teenagers have the gumption to set up an online business and a UK Limited Company. That's an achievement, and something which posters on here (and on DS) recognise and applaud.
That the achievement was then totally undermined by a cavalier approach to the truth and a callous indifference to the concerns of others is a matter of public record.
As there's no way, now, of retrieving the situation, then surely the best thing is to stop the fantasies, stop the lies, and stop the current 'business' and instead make sure that not a single customer remains disadvantaged, and not a single complaint goes without redress.
Everyone makes mistakes. 16 year olds are no different from 26, 36, 46, 56 etc etc year olds. But maturity is knowing when one mistake too many has been made, and learning from it (instead of denying it) and starting over with a clean sheet.
There might still be time for [Name removed by Forum Team] to do that but for any sheet to be clean, it must first be devoid of lies.0 -

No, she's not dead. Fantastic in the sack, though.
Putting it in perspective, you remember that bit in the Exorcist, where the little girl talks about someone's mother doing something very naughty in hell? Well, that's nothing compared to what yours was doing a couple of nights back after a couple of tequilas. I can barely walk, honestly.0 -

Did [Name removed by Forum Team] really set up the Ltd Company or was it his father David? It seems to me that in the postings by "" on here you can differentiate the infantile postings by [Name removed by Forum Team] and the more mature ones by his father.
Was [Name removed by Forum Team] just the puppet and a good PR story to front [Name removed by Forum Team] Snrs ambitions? The man without a signature.0
