Funny(not) how [Name removed by Forum Team] website responses sound like something from a 419 scammer
...or am I being cynical?0 -
I can't even view the site anymore, I get this:Oops!Yes, that's right, you have been FORBIDDEN ACCESS to GC's PC's Limited and GC's PC's Limited Website.Any of your custom will be ignored. Repeated issues will result in being reported to the police. To appeal against your restriction, please call 0126 88 100 16where we will review your situation.
I think you'll find an inadvertent error has occurred.
Currently the website appears to be open to all, as it's now on a recruiting drive:Are you a top rated salesperson? Want to Earn Up to £2,000 a week in sales?Click here or email legal@gcspcs.co.uk and become part of one of the UK's fastest growing companies
Sales earnings look good seeing as how this outfit is at risk of becoming one of the UK's highest charging companies (MyMemory has emailed me this morning offering the SanDisk 16GB Cruzer Micro U3 USB Flash Drive for £17.99p including delivery; GCsPCs isn't within a mile of that price for a similar product).
If you're thinking of applying, then some background about the company and its founder might be of assistance, so go here:

Fascinating reading -- and "the dream to create free online help," quite touching.0 -
I am still trying to get my head round this paragraph :-
GC's PC's originally started off by me, just knowing an incredible amount about every factor for a PC and can almost always fix your problem by either telling you what to do if you describe to me what's happening with your computer. If that can't be done, I can fix the problem over remote assistance.
He may know "an incredible amount about every factor for a PC" (which is questionable), but he is rubbish at English and grammar, customer relations and business acumen. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
Oooh I've been "suspended" too!
I guess [Name removed by Forum Team] has taken the IP addresses of us who have clicked through from MSE.
Not hard to get onto his site. Google "Proxy" and use a proxy site to get through - although his site is the same usual overpriced guff. The man without a signature.0 -
He is doing his normal and does not have any contact details on the website which is against online trading guidelines. In addition the website states GC'S PCs is part of the GLC Group Limited. The GLC is not a registered limited company so this is breaching company law as will mislead customers. If anyone ever (Theres a very good chance) needs to take action against the company it would mislead them which is not good.
Who is up for reporting him for the above breaches?
Did you know that according to [Name removed by Forum Team] , his Dad, Trading Standards, and the part time anonymous lawyer at legal@gcspcs.co.uk that you can't talk about their trading names:
The trading name GC's PC's is part of GLC Group Ltd registered in England 6541505. The matter of names may not be discussed and anyone who challenges so, shall be banned from use of our services.
That's because [Name removed by Forum Team] and his Dad say so. So there. The man without a signature.0 -
I can still access his site via this link http://www.gcspcs.co.uk/store/index.php

Thanks for that, tris: good to see it's back again, no point in paying up to three times the going rate for something from one of the UK's fastest growing companies if there isn't an incentive to do so (as Serena from Newcastle will readily attest.)
May also be worth mentioning that this week it's free postage on everything.
So if you wish to buy someone a £5,000 GCsPCs Gift Voucher, now's a good time to save £0.30p on the previously chargeable Second Class Mail cost.
* I was going to mention this in MSE's Bargain Buys thread but thought it better to share it only with regulars on this one.0
