  • I have spoken with Google who have re-offered card processing facilities to the thief. They have done this because he simply applied for an account under a different email address and Google's systems don't pick this up.

The banned email address was gcspcs@googlemail.com but I have no idea what his new one is. Google won't close this down unless more than just me emails them, and if you do make sure you mention that the banned account was kept under the email address gcspcs@googlemail.com and that his new email address is clearly linked to the same site (i.e. https://www.gcspcs.co.uk).

Best contact email to complain to is checkout-support@google.com

Will getting his Google Checkout closed actually make a difference? I mean he has managed to get several card processing systems in the past so whats stopping him getting another or just resorting to the phone me with your card trick?

Surely the best thing to do is educate people that this character is not as honest as many of us and that his site is not worth visiting.

I am currently writing a review of the site on my blog and hopefully if enough people do this then Google will pick up our voices and this will help with customers that may be duped.

It's very possible GCsPCs will continue on for a while: many ecommerce purchasers utterly fail to Google that which they're buying from, and in this case, Google's rankings don't include any links that might actually alert a prospective GCsPCs customer anyway.

That the operation continues to be bolstered though by a blatant lie, whilst in the midst of both a criminal investigation (police) and a civil investigation (Trading Standards) beggars belief: don't either of these agencies have the wit to act?

The Google search that fails to alert a prospective GScPcs customer is also the same Google search which top-ranks:

GCsPCs is part of GCL Group Ltd

an assertion made to foster within a prospective customer the comforting notion that she / he is dealing not with a market stall outfit but a 'group' enterprise staffed and resourced at a corporate 'group' level.

There is, of course, no GCL Group Ltd.

Hopefully such non-existence will not be repeated tomorrow: April 17th 2009 is the date by which Companies House expects GC'sPC's Ltd to have filed its Return.
  • Tried to place a mock order on gcspcs.co.uk and landed on the Google Checkout page: therefore, his Google Checkout account is alive and running.

I then managed to place an order with a valid, but non-existant credit card number (namely 4111111111111111) and, obviously, the payment was declined. What it did give me, howeever, was the email address under which the fraudster is operating the Google Checkout service: it is, "info@impulsetechuk.com".

His previous Google checkout account was held under gcspcs@googlemail.com and the account facilities were withdrawn by Google due to the large number of chargebacks and disputes. The worm still owes Google thousands of pounds, and they appear to be blissfully unaware of the fact that the thief is now hiding behind info@impulsetechuk.com LET THEM KNOW, PEOPLE!

Something else I noticed: the moment you place an order on the site, the thief barrs you from accessing the site and tells you he'll inform the police if you keep trying to access https://www.gscpcs.co.uk. As I tried to place my order during school hours, I presume it is Papa thief who is doing this.

What a way to run a business.

    Address Not Found

www.gscpcs.co.uk could not be found. Please check the name and try again.

The browser could not find the host server for the provided address.
    * Did you make a mistake when typing the domain? (e.g. "ww.mozilla.org" instead of "www.mozilla.org")
    * Are you certain this domain address exists? Its registration may have expired.
    * Are you unable to browse other sites? Check your network connection and DNS server settings.
    * Is your computer or network protected by a firewall or proxy? Incorrect settings can interfere with Web browsing.

YAY looks like his website is dead :T

Oh and I'm still waiting for the police to come round for my repeated attempts from typing https://www.gscpcs.co.uk into the address bar. Oh silly me guess the police will be here soon? Oh damn just tried to access it again will i ever learn hehe

Site is still up and running, however payment is no longer by Google Checkout. Instead you get this message:

He is doing his normal and does not have any contact details on the website which is against online trading guidelines. In addition the website states GC'S PCs is part of the GLC Group Limited. The GLC is not a registered limited company so this is breaching company law as will mislead customers. If anyone ever (Theres a very good chance) needs to take action against the company it would mislead them which is not good.

Who is up for reporting him for the above breaches?

Read over on digitalspy that Google has pulled the plug; so how is he processing the card payments he gets over the phone? And it is not safe to say that he may be using those card details to make purchases himself, i.e. holidays, luxury goods etc.
