Based on GC original posts, it would take a Troller to have access to his password, as [Name removed by Forum Team] {Removed by Forum team} is the original username that [Name removed by Forum Team] {Removed by Forum team} is still using.

Either his username has been hacked (probable), or it never was GC from the very start (improbable), more likely GC cannot resist popping back on the thread (immaturity), he even posts with "I'm not answering anymore questions", so in effect, has no valid reason to post other than to gloat.

Its not possible for a Troll to recreate a users original username and continue to post, whether or not the user has closed his previous account.

It is just as probable that the question "is he or isnt he" is yet another ploy to try to derail the thread.

If we can believe the person who come on here and says he is [Name removed by Forum Team] , the company is closing down very soon. But he is still selling gift cards, up to a value of £5,000. Of course when the company does close down then these gift cards will become worthless. Isn't that a case of fraudulent trading because he won't be able to honour these cards?

Legally, the seller must explain to their potential buyer in their written T&C's that if a specific product is not in stock, they will implement a specific action within a specific duration of time. So GC's T&C's should legally contain a term similar to:"In the unlikely event that any of our gift cards are not available, we shall inform you by email and completely cancel your payment within 24 hours."

(This does not apply if the product description itself informs the potential buyer that the product is out of stock).

I don't know about these gift certificates or the fact he is closing down as not seen the offer or heard the other news as just back from leave - but if goods are being offered that a company can't honour then this could appear a breach of the Consumer Protection Regulations. These state companies can't advertise goods that don’t exist, or offering just a few items at the advertised price with no hope of meeting the demand. Trading Standards would investigate issues like this.

How do we know that he would destroy the cheque? Surely a better way is for him to take them all off sale. Problem solved.

Sorry - where does it say on the website that he is closing GCs PCs down? Or has this just been a post to the forum?
