The real thing to ban is the persons MAC address.

Unfortunately Isasmurf isnt online!!
The forum team will deal with it, it is Sunday evening so it may be tomorrow before they get the email.0 -
As I suggested perhaps a block also on certain urls like the one there are using, its a shorten link.
Cant see how you can block mac coded via web, mac codes are unique code for network devices. There not 100% guaranteed even if you could reda that data online, they coudl just changed hardware if they so wish although I doubt they would want to for sake of spamming.0 -
I've taken to the habit of NOT clicking on any links if I don't know poster, and no other posts have been made yet suggesting (in whatever way) that the link is ok. This especially so when an unknown OP has posted a link and there are no other replies in the thread.
There are no guarantees, but here goes.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
FT1 is online now so hopefully this lowlife will be dealt with0

Okay just a suggestion but spam is getting worse on here of late. Is there anyway that you can allow BG to remove a user on the site who is spamming. There does seem to be more of a problem at the weekend and spammers take advantage of the unsociable hours.0
-
Forum team are the only people who can remove a members posting rights. BG can close or remove posts if they break the rules but the best way to deal with this is to click on the abuse button.0

I no but unfortunately there a distinct lack of cover at weekend. I appreciate time costs money, unfortunately internet is 24/7 and spam know this. Something needs doing about it the filters clearly are not working to at least prevent the link which may act as a deterrent.
This moron clearly keeps coming back and I lay odds they sign up again under a different name as they have done before. I reported him to that web site but there as bad as them. I even went to report them to the host but havent heard back.0 -
I reported them to the link that Deemy gave on one of the posts, got an email back saying that the URL has now been removed
....clear as mud to me, I just did what Deemy suggested.
Just run, run and keep on running!0
