Would you believe it but I eventually got my flights sorted last week!!!:j

I am going to Lanzarote in June from Leeds/Bradford!

I orginally asked for Sharm el Shiek, Rhodes or Tenerife in May June or July from Leeds/Bradford or Manchester and she said they were all full so she offered me Lanzarote, I have never been so I thought why not at least I got my preferred month and airport if not the location.

Checked the flight costs and should have been about £430 for the 2 of us so not bad for in one respect.

However this doesn't detract from what a farce it has been from start to finish, I have sent numerous emails phonecalls and entries using the forms and have now only just resolved my problems, good luck to all those who are still trying, my only advice is to contact [EMAIL="Lgodfrey@jet2.com"]Lgodfrey@jet2.com[/EMAIL].
It may take a week or so for her to reply but she is the only one who does reply and I think maybe the only one working on the competition!

Finally anyone been to Lanzarote? Any tips on where to stay?
(Not bothered about All inclusive or Self catering)

No advice on Lanzarote, that's where I'm booked to go in January with my flights so let us know what it's like. I've had a quick look at hotels (SC and AI) and they don't seem too badly priced but going to get my summer holiday out the way first.

A tip though, we spent an absolute fortune in Tenerife in Jan just gone. The bad Euro really affected us so if you can get a good deal All Inclusive personally I would go for it.

quickrooms.com are good for accomodation....

u can get AI deals pretty cheap...u pay per room and not per person

Cheers Lexilex, had a look at hotels and AI does seem the best option so it looks like we will be doing that and going to Costa Teguise (little bit cheaper than Peurto Del Carmen)

Checked quickrooms it had some good deals but think we are going to book with Thomas Cook to a hotel called Occidental, its in there finesse range and it was only £490 for 2 for a week looks very nice on there own website

I must be cursed! After all the problems with finally getting flights to Egypt in November I now find out that the accommodation I booked and paid for with Freedom Direct (via TravelRepublic) may be in jeopardy as they went into administration yesterday aaaarrrrggggghhhhhh Luckily YouTravel.com are the actual providers and may honour booking if I can provide paperwork and bank statements - fingers crossed eh?
