Maybe, not the same though is it :(:( I'm just so gutted.

I'm glad my mum and dad are almost sorted, my sister and her boyfriend too. It's just annoying that after spending ages entering, for everyone, I'm the one that isn't going to end up going.

    :(:(

    Hi Lexilex

Any news? Have you managed to pin down some dates? Be nice if you could go somewhere (warm?) before starting that dreaded final year eh?

Got another two 'no's' this morning.

I'm giving up now. I've just sent them this email, let's see if I get a response.

Once again I am writing regarding the 10,000 flight giveaway. I have lost count of how many emails I have sent regarding this competition. I doubt very much I will receive a reply, as this has been the case with many of the emails I have sent.
I have been left disappointed by Jet2 and their customer service as a result of the way this competition has been handled.
I was a winner in last years giveaway, and was really impressed with the customer service. Booking the flights was easy, getting in contact with Jet2 was easy, and I was really impressed with the flight itself for a budget airline. However, in my honest opinion. this competition has been a total disaster.
From the beginning there was problems. The terms and conditions changed frequently, one minute luggage was included with the flights, the next minute it wasn't. Then the competition went live, and the website could not handle the huge volumes of people trying to enter. It took me almost 45 minutes to enter. The next problem was with the confirmation emails. Those on hotmail did not receive confirmation and had to wait for a letter. I entered on behalf of 6 people, 5 of whom used a hotmail address. Only one of us ever actually received this letter. Luckily, we were send the email confirmations again and got them that way, though this was a long time after the competition had ended and winners had been announced. We were told we would not be at a disadvantage to anybody else, and should get the flights we wanted. I did question this, but was assured that there shouldn't be a problem.
I have now submitted 14 winners forms and still have not been allocated flights. I have tried ten different destinations (Crete, Rhodes, Sharm El Sheikh, Corfu, Dalaman, Paphos, Larnaca, Ibiza, Lanzarote and Tenerife) and many, many sets of dates, ranging from June 09 to Jan 2010.
I have asked, many times, for the Jet2 team dealing with this to just choose some flights for me. Finally, last week, I received a reply saying that there was no space left for winners on flights to any of the ten destinations I am wanting to go to.
I am so disappointed. We were told that having used a hotmail address we would not be at a disadvantage to anybody else. How can this be? Has I received by confirmation along with everybody else, I would have been one of the first to submit their submissions. As it is, it has been over 6 weeks since the competition ended, and I am still no closer to getting flights booked. It seems the only way I will be able to use these flights is if I go somewhere nobody else wants to go.
I entered this competition because my boyfriend has been made redundant. Times are hard and we really need a break. This competition raised my hopes of getting away this year, and I am now more upset than ever that I won't be able to have a holiday this year.
I feel Jet2 were totally unable to handle a competition of this scale. I have been in contact with many other winners of this competition, who all feel the same way as myself. There have been problems from day one.
I hope lessons have been learnt from this competition, and winners of any future competitions will not be left as disappointed as myself.
One suggestion I would like to put forward for any future competitions you may run is to change the way flights are booked. A much better system would be to have a similar method of booking as what you have for booking paid flights, so we can see what is available without having to send emails and wait weeks for a reponse.
This whole experience has made me very unlikely to use Jet2 in the future. I've found it difficult to get any sort of response to my emails and phone calls. I've left answer machine messages and never received a return phone call. I've sent countless emails with no reply. If I had paid for flights and received this sort of customer care I would be disgusted. Times are tough, and I am much more careful where I spend my money now, the level of customer service I receive goes a long way in helping me make my decision as to which company to give my money too. The customer service I have received from Jet2 has been abysmal, to say the least.
I really hope Jet2 take notice of these complaints.
    Regards,

Now if they don't pay attention to that they should be ashamed of themselves - I do so hope you get what you want - I should think after all the problems (including all your time and much effort and banging your head against a brick wall :wall:) they should release a couple more seats on ANY flight that you want now - fingers crossed for you - let us know what happens :grouphug:

    Apparently
The customer care team aim to respond within 21 working days and you will definately get a reply to the letter you send in. Unfortunately i am unable to comment on what they will say in response to your letter.

    Kind regards

    Yeah, we'll see

Gonna print off the email at Uni and get it posted today.

21 WORKING days?!? But that's still gives them a month to think about replying, doesn't it?

Lauren's offered me dates for Ibiza, a week after sending her an emailing asking her if anywhere was avaialble for the dates I want to go.

I'm gonna say no, it's tenth choice and I would just be booking it for the sake of it. For how much it's going to cost in accomodation, and spending money, I could probably get a late deal for not too much more. I get one holiday a year, I aren't just settling for whatever is left if you know what I mean. I've just asked her to read through the email I sent the other day and respond to that.
